Ceasefire violation by Pakistan along the LoC in Kupwara, Uri & Akhnoor sectors
Ceasefire violation by Pakistan was reported during the night of 30 Apr–1 May along the LoC in Kupwara, Uri & Akhnoor sectors of J&K. Unprovoked small arms fire was initiated by Pakistan Army posts.
Indian Army responded in a measured & proportionate manner. DGMO-level hotline talks held on 30 Apr.
India conveyed strong protest over repeated violations.
