JKBOSE : National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme NMMSS
CIRCULAR
Whereas, the National Means-cum-Merit Scholarship Scheme , (NMMSS) Examination for the academic session 2024-25 was conducted across the Union Territory on 29-06-2025.The compilation of results is currently underway, according to the reservation policy to ensure equitable distribution of scholarships among students of various categories, thereby facilitating optimal utilization of the allocated quota.
Whereas, the allocation of scholarship quota is strictly governed by the reservation policy of the respective State/UT. Accordingly, all students who appeared in the NMMSS Examiantion 2024-25 are hereby given a final opportunity to submit their category’ certificates (i.e. IB/ALC/RBA/OBC/ST (ST-1 and ST-2), etc.) prior, to the finalisation of the result for facilitating J&K BOSE in systematic allotment of Quota.
In view of the above, students belonging to any reserved category who have not submitted their category certificates earlier are informed to submit the same to the concerned Chief Education Officer (DNOs NMMSS) within five days with effect from 25.07.2025, failing which their claims won’t he entertained. Further, students belonging to the ST category must clearly specify whether they fall under ST-1 or ST-II sub-category and provide valid documentary proof supporting their claims of reservation.
This information is urgently required for further necessary action at the UT/State level.
