Kashmir News: Terror hideout busted in J&K Kupwara; weapons recovered
The Indian Army has launched a major counter-terrorism drive in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kupwara district under Operation Nagni, busting a terror hideout and recovering a significant cache of arms and explosives.
According to a statement from the Army’s Chinar Corps, the joint three-day operation was carried out in the Kalaroos area by personnel from the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Border Security Force.
The hideout search led to the recovery of one pistol, two magazines, twelve grenades, ammunition, and other war-like stores.
The operation comes amid heightened security activity across the region, coinciding with the anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370.
In south Kashmir’s Kulgam district, security forces have continued a separate operation in Akhal Devsar for five consecutive days, with one terrorist killed so far in an ongoing gunfight.
