Pak intruder shot at, detained at International Border in Kathua: BSF

A Pakistani intruder was shot at and detained by the Border Security Force (BSF) on Monday at the International Border (IB) in Kathua district, officials said.

In a statement, issued to news agency that a BSF spokesperson said troops spotted the man moving suspiciously and advancing aggressively towards the border fence.

The statement reads he ignored repeated warnings to stop, prompting the alert personnel to fire at his legs.

“The injured man was taken into custody, and a protest has been lodged with Pakistan counterparts,” it reads.
