Updated Seniority List of Junior Assistants of School Education Department, District Cadre Ramban as on 26-08-2025

Ref : Govt. Order No. SRO-375 of 2010 Dated: 21-10-2010

ORDER

Whereas, the final seniority list of Junior Assistants working in School Education Department, District Cadre Ramban as on 28-04-2025 was issued vide this office Order No. 10 CEORBN of 2025 Dated: 21-05-2025;

Whereas, subsequent to the issuance of the said final seniority list, the Chief Education Officer, Jammu vide No. CEOJ/NG/9179-80 Dated: 11-08-2025, forwarded the personal file of Sh. Sunil Kumar, Junior Assistant, Govt. Shaheed Janbir Singh Memorial High School, Kirpind (Miran Sahib), to this office;

Whereas, on perusal of the records, it was revealed that the above official had been appointed as Junior Assistant in District Ramban vide CEO Ramban’s Order No. CEO/R/10/600-603 Dated: 19-04-2010 and was subsequently transferred to District Jammu in 2014 vide Director, School Education Jammu’s Order No. DSEJ/12183-87 Dated; 08-02-2014;

Whereas, it further surfaced from the record that the said official had qualified the Foundation Course Departmental Examination, January 2024 (Roll No. 203). However, as per an affidavit sworn before the Hon’ble Court of Additional Special Mobile Magistrate, RS Pura the official has submitted that due to unawareness he could not got his case/ file submitted before the DPC for promotion earlier and now he is submitting case through Chief Education Officer Jammu before competent authority for consideration in next DPC;

Whereas, representations/objections received from the concerned employees were duly examined in the light of rules and regulations governing the subject matter, and necessary action has been taken strictly as per rules;

Now, therefore, without prejudice to and subject to the outcome of writ petitions, if any, pending adjudication before any Court(s) of Law, the updated seniority list of Junior Assistants working in various educational institutions of District Ramban as on 26-08-2025, forming Annexure “A” to this order, is hereby issued in terms of Rule 24 of the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control and Appeal) Rules, 1956.

In case any official feels aggrieved with the position assigned to him/her in the said seniority list, he/she may submit a review petition in terms of the relevant provisions of the J&K Civil Services (CCA) Rules, 1956. Such review petitions, duly

supported with documentary evidence of facts not previously considered or facts that have since come to light and materially affect the determination of seniority, should reach this office within seven (07) days from the date of issuance of this order, failing which the seniority list shall be treated as final.

It is further clarified that the date(s) of birth and category certificate(s) indicated against the officials in the seniority list shall not be treated as authenticated and shall remain subject to verification from the Service Book(s)/Matriculation Certificate(s)/other relevant records as prescribed under norms.
