GMC Anantnag Invites Applications for Engagement of Senior Resident

Engagement of Senior Resident in the Department of General Surgery, Government Medical College Anantnag.

Pursuant to the selection notification issued vide No. 04 GMCA of 2026 dated
14.03.2026, below mentioned candidate is provisionally engaged as Senior Resident under
S.O 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020, in the Department of General Surgery, Government
Medical College Anantnag initially for a period of one year which is extendable upto (03)
years only, on the basis of good performance to be certified by the concerned Head of
Department.

The above candidate is directed to join in the office of the Principal, Govt.
Medical College Anantnag within 21 days from the date of publication of this order and
shall be allowed to join on production of following documents in original for verification.
1. Essential Qualification Certificate(s).
2. Registration Certificate(s) of Essential Qualification.
3. Date of Birth Certificate.
4. Domicile Certificate.

Terms and Conditions :

1. The above candidate shall have to execute an agreement with the institution on a
prescribed format with regard to the various terms and conditions applicable during
academic arrangement. The candidate shall strictly ensure that he/she shall not leave
the post (College) before the completion of tenure of six months, however
abandoning/terminating after six months of the engagement in the specialty will
require one-month prior notice on either side falling which the salary shall not be paid
for one month to the incumbent which shall be released on completion of stipulated
sanctioned term.

Before joining the Department, the selected candidate shall submit an affidavit in the
office of the Administrative Officer, Govt. Medical College Anantnag duly attested by
the Judicial Magistrate (1st Class) to the effect that:

a. I understand all the terms and conditions set out in the devised agreement and I
shall be bound by all such terms and conditions duly executed by me.

b. If any of the information furnished by me to the college is found wrong at any point
of time, I shall be liable to be punished under rules including confiscation of the
Registration of the Doctor.
