Poonch Mock Drill Cancelled; DC Assures No Reason for Concern
The Deputy Commissioner of Poonch on Sunday announced the cancellation of the scheduled Civil Defence mock drill in the district, assuring the public that there is no reason for concern as the exercise was part of routine preparedness activities.
According to news agency , the Deputy Commissioner stated in a post on X that the routine mock drill planned by the Civil Defence and SDRF from April 20 to April 24 has been called off.

“There is no cause for alarm. The drill was meant solely for standard preparedness training. Citizens are advised to remain calm, safe, and vigilant,” the post read.
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner had issued a communiqué directing the conduct of a Civil Defence air raid and blackout mock exercise across the district from April 20 to April 24, 2026.

The exercise was intended to enhance emergency preparedness and strengthen coordinated response mechanisms among concerned agencies.
