Age Limit :

The minimum age for all candidates is 18 years as on 11/05/2026. The maximum age limit differs by category – Unreserved (UR/General) candidates must not exceed 27 years, OBC candidates must not exceed 30 years, and SC/ST candidates must not exceed 32 years, all calculated as on 11/05/2026. Age relaxation is in line with Government of India rules for reserved categories.

STPI Apprentice Trainee Stipend 2026

Selected Apprentice Trainees will receive a monthly stipend as per the qualification category. B.Tech/B.E. degree holders will receive Rs. 15,000/- per month, Diploma holders will receive Rs. 10,900/- per month, and B.A./B.Com degree holders will receive Rs. 12,300/- per month.

The stipend will be facilitated through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism – the Government’s admissible share of the stipend will be directly credited to the apprentice’s bank account through the NATS portal after successful DBT registration.

Candidates must ensure their bank account details (account number, IFSC code, bank name) are accurately entered during NATS portal registration, as any error may delay or prevent stipend disbursement. This is a training stipend and not a salary – no other allowances or service benefits are associated with the apprenticeship engagement.

Selection Process :

Stage 1: NATS Portal Registration
Candidates must register on https://nats.education.gov.in and obtain a NATS Enrolment ID before applying. Bank details must be entered for DBT stipend processing.

Stage 2: Online Application on STPI Portal
Apply online on www.stpi.in (Career Section) on or before 11/05/2026. Enter the NATS Enrolment ID in the application form.

Stage 3: Shortlisting
Applications screened based on eligibility criteria – qualification, discipline, age, and NATS registration.

Stage 4: Interview
Shortlisted candidates called for interview. Final selection based on marks obtained in the interview.
