Vacancy Details :
A total of 60 vacancies have been announced for the post of Deputy Manager (Technical) distributed across UR, SC, ST, OBC (NCL – Central List only), and EWS categories. Out of the total 60 posts, 04 posts are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD). The number of posts advertised may increase or decrease as per the requirements of the Authority.

Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the closing date of online application (15-06-2026). The educational qualification required is a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University or Institute. Candidates whose result of the qualifying degree has not been declared by 15-06-2026 may also apply, but the offer of appointment will be issued only after submission of the provisional/final degree certificate to NHAI not later than 31-08-2026, failing which the candidature will be cancelled without any further notice. The post carries All India service liability. Candidates must hold a valid GATE 2026 score in Civil Engineering discipline.

Age Limit :
Candidates must not exceed 30 years of age as on the closing date of online application (15-06-2026). Age relaxation is available for various categories as per Government of India instructions. If a candidate is eligible for more than one relaxation, only the highest permissible relaxation will be granted – concessions are not cumulative.

Selection Process :
Selection will be made purely on the basis of GATE 2026 score in Civil Engineering discipline. There is no written examination conducted by NHAI. In the event of a large number of applications, NHAI may adopt a shortlisting criteria and may call candidates for interaction/interview, if required. The mere possession of minimum qualifications does not entitle candidates to be considered for appointment. Selected candidates will have to execute a Service Bond of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs for a minimum service period of 3 years from the date of joining NHAI.
Tie-Breaking Rules

How to Apply ?
Applications must be submitted online only through the official NHAI website https://www.nhai.gov.in. Applications received through any other method will not be accepted and will be summarily rejected. Candidates are advised to submit their online application well in advance without waiting for the closing date. In case of multiple applications, only the last application submitted will be considered and all earlier applications will be summarily rejected. Once submitted, candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature. All communication from NHAI will be made through email only – candidates must furnish a correct and active email address.

Selection is purely on the basis of GATE 2026 score in Civil Engineering – candidates must hold a valid GATE 2026 score card.
The post carries All India service liability – only candidates willing to serve anywhere in India should apply.
Candidates whose degree result is not declared by 15-06-2026 may apply but must submit the provisional/final degree certificate to NHAI by 31-08-2026, failing which candidature will be cancelled without notice.
Candidates who have completed their degree by the closing date must mandatorily upload the Degree Certificate or Provisional Degree Certificate – mere uploading of marksheets of all semesters will not suffice.
OBC candidates must submit an OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) certificate issued during Financial Year 2026–27 (issued on or after 01-04-2026).
EWS candidates must possess an Income & Asset Certificate based on income for Financial Year 2025–26, issued on or after 01-04-2026.
PwBD candidates must possess a Disability Certificate certifying a minimum 40% disability issued by a Competent Authority.
No change in community/category status indicated in the online application will be allowed after submission.
Selected candidates must execute a Service Bond of Rs. 5.00 Lakhs for a minimum service period of 3 years from date of joining NHAI.
NHAI does not entertain transfer of service bonds for candidates already working in other Government organizations.
Canvassing or bringing influence in any form will disqualify the candidature.
In case of multiple applications, only the last application submitted will be considered; all earlier applications will be summarily rejected.
Candidates will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature after submission of the application.
Any dispute in regard to any matter shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
