J&K Directorate of Handloom & Handicrafts Admission Notice
Applications for admission to the First Year of Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) and Second Year of Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) directly under Lateral Entry Scheme for the session 2026–27.

ADMISSION NOTIFICATION
Applications are invited on the prescribed format (as per Annexure-I & II) from eligible candidates for admission to:
First Year of Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT)
Second Year (Lateral Entry) of Three Years Diploma Course in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT) at the Indian Institute of Handloom Technology (IIHT), Jodhpur for the session 2026–27.
1. Eligibility Criteria & Educational Qualification
Course 1: Diploma in Handloom & Textile Technology (DHTT)
Duration: 3 Years
Eligibility:
Passed 10th (SSC) examination
Minimum 35% marks
English as a subject

Course 2: DHTT (Direct Second Year – Lateral Entry)
Duration: 2 Years
Eligibility:
10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
OR
10+2 (Vocational stream in textile discipline)
OR
10th + 2 years ITI
Note :
Candidates may undergo bridge courses in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry at IIHT Jodhpur.
In case of grading system, proof of marks must be submitted for merit preparation.
2. Age Limit
General Category: 15–23 years
SC/ST: 15–25 years
Age calculated as on 1st July 2026
For Lateral Entry:
General: Max 25 years
SC/ST: Max 27 years
3. Reservation
As per J&K UT Government Policy
20% seats reserved for Weavers Community
1 seat reserved for EWS category
4. Stipend
Monthly stipend of ₹2500/-
50% Central Govt.
50% State Govt.
Payable for 10 months per year
Conditions:
Minimum 80% attendance required
First year: stipend regardless of backlogs
From 3rd semester onward: max 2 back papers allowed
Selected candidates must submit affidavit on ₹100 stamp paper
