JK National Highway Traffic Updates for 2nd June 2026

From 31-05-2026, 1600 hrs to 01-06-2026, 1600 hrs, slow traffic movement was observed on NH-44 due to single-lane conditions between Marog and Kishtwar Batter, in addition to breakdown of 02 HMVs at Digdol and Nachlana, and the movement of 04 nomadic herds (crossing Nachlana–Banihal).

Owing to ongoing movement of 02 nomadic herds, traffic on the single-lane stretch from Marog to Kishtwar Batter is likely to slow down. Commuters are advised to follow lane discipline and avoid overtaking.

Passenger/LMV operators are advised to prefer journey on Jammu–Srinagar NHW during daytime. Night travel should be avoided due to apprehension of shooting stones/landslides, movement of nomads towards valley, and ongoing construction work between Nashri and Banihal which may cause inconvenience.
