Job Recruitment in University of Kashmir
Online Application Forms on the prescribed format, available on the Directorate of IT&SS website: https://itss.uok.edu.in OR through the QR Code given below, are invited from the eligible candidates for engagement as Software Tester, on a contractual basis, for the duration of one year (purely extendable based on performance and requirements) in the Directorate of IT & SS, University of Kashmir.
The online application forms along with copies of qualification certificates and other necessary testimonials shall have to be submitted by or before 21st June 2026.
No hard copy (printout) thereof is required to be submitted, nor shall it be entertained.

Essentials :
I. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / BCA / B.Sc. (IT) from a recognized University.

II. Graduation in any discipline with a one year Diploma in Software Testing / Computer Applications / Information Technology from a Government-recognized
institute.
Desirable :
One (01) year of experience in software testing for candidates possessing qualification under Option-I.
Two (02) years of experience in software testing for candidates possessing qualification under Option-II.
Other Terms and Conditions :
1. The applicant must possess Domicile Certificate issued by the Competent Authority on the format prescribed for the purpose, on or before the last date of submission of application form.
2. The applicant should not be above 40 years of age as on 01.01.2026.
3. The applicants who have obtained degree from the Foreign University should upload equivalence certificate issued by the AIU, New Delhi, without which their candidature will not be considered and application form will be rejected.
4. Candidates should satisfy themselves about the job responsibilities requirements before appearing in the Interview.
5. Any applicant found guilty of impersonation or submitting fabricated, tampered, fake, or forged documents may be debarred permanently or for a specific period from being considered for any future appointment, in addition to rendering him/her for criminal proceedings under rules.
6. Application Form found incomplete in any respect shall be rejected without any notice.
7. In the event of a large number of applications being received, a written test shall be conducted for shortlisting candidates for interview, in the ratio of 1:10 against the number of advertised posts, the syllabus of which shall be notified separately.
8. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the Written Test/Interview.
9. No claim, whatsoever, from the contractual engagee/s for their permanent absorption is maintainable under rules and shall not be entertained at any stage.
10. The information regarding the screened-in/short-listed candidates and the schedule of interview of the eligible candidates shall be notified separately.
11. The above positions are to be filled on short-term contractual basis for a period of 1 year and may be extended further on the basis of performance and requirement.
12. Candidates should provide two references with contact number and email ID for verification of professional experience.
13. The University reserves the right not to fill up the advertised post or cancel the interview, if the circumstances warrant so.
