Office of the Child Development Project Officer (CDPO), Pouni has invited applications from eligible female candidates for the engagement of Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) in various Anganwadi Centres under Poshan Project Pouni.

Eligibility Criteria
For Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers)
Applicant must be a domicile of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir.
Only female candidates aged 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026 are eligible.
Candidate should belong to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is situated.
The candidate’s name in the voter list of the ward shall be treated as proof of residence.
If the candidate’s name is not in the voter list but appears with parents, an Unmarried Certificate from the Tehsildar is required.
In case of any dispute regarding residence, the decision of the concerned SDM/ACR shall be final.
Minimum Qualification: 10+2 (Higher Secondary).
If no eligible 10+2 candidate is available in the ward, candidates possessing Matric qualification may be considered with prior approval of Mission Director, Mission Poshan.
If no suitable candidate is available in the ward, candidates from the nearest ward within the Panchayat may be considered subject to approval.
Selection shall be based on weightage of marks obtained in 10+2.
In case of a tie, the older candidate will be preferred.
Candidates possessing qualification higher than Graduation are not eligible.
Candidates belonging to the family of retired AWW/AWH will receive 2% additional weightage.
For Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers)
Candidate must belong to the electoral ward where the Anganwadi Centre is located.
Only female candidates aged 18 to 37 years as on 01-01-2026 are eligible.
Applicant must be a domicile of Jammu & Kashmir.
Minimum Qualification: Matriculation.
If no Matriculate candidate is available in the ward, candidates having not less than 8th Standard qualification shall be considered.
Preference shall be given to the most deserving needy married woman of the ward.
If no married woman is available, an unmarried candidate may be considered.

Applicants must submit the prescribed application form along with self-attested copies of:
Domicile Certificate
Academic Qualification Certificates (Matric/10+2/Graduation)
Aadhaar Card
Voter Card showing residence
Date of Birth Certificate (10th Diploma/Certificate)
Latest Voter List entry as proof of residence
Certificate from the concerned Councillor/Sarpanch (if belonging to the family of retired AWW/AWH)
Unmarried Certificate (where applicable)
Affidavit duly attested by Judicial/Executive Magistrate
Two recent passport-size colour photographs
Document Verification
Candidates shortlisted for document verification must produce:
Original academic certificates
Marks sheets/Degree/Diploma
Birth/Matriculation Certificate
Domicile Certificate
Unmarried Certificate (if applicable)
Aadhaar Card or Voter ID (Original)
Failure to produce the required documents at the time of verification may lead to rejection of candidature.
How to Apply
Application forms must be submitted in the prescribed format (Annexure-B).
Submit the completed application form along with all required documents by hand in the office of the Child Development Project Officer, Pouni.
Applications received after the last date or incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Important Instructions
All certificates and information submitted must be genuine.
Maximum qualification for Anganwadi Worker is Graduation, while the minimum qualification is 10+2.
Maximum qualification for Anganwadi Helper is Graduation, while the minimum qualification is Matriculation.
Any false information or forged documents will result in cancellation of candidature and legal action.
Selected candidates will be governed by the Human Resource Policy for Anganwadi Workers and Helpers issued by the Government.
