Vacancy Details :

NGEL has announced 114 projected vacancies across two posts, with category-wise distribution as follows. The company has stated that the total number of projected vacancies may increase or decrease at the discretion of NGEL Management.

Assistant Engineer – RE (Asset Management/Operation & Maintenance) (E-0 Grade) – 100 Posts

 

Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade) – 14 Posts

Reservation for PwBD candidates will be applicable as per Government Guidelines, in addition to the category-wise numbers above.

 

Eligibility :

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

All qualifications must be from Universities/Institutions recognized and approved in India.

Age, experience and qualification will be computed with reference to the last date of receipt of online application.

Category (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) selected in the online application cannot be changed later, and no benefit of another category will be admissible afterward.

Educational Qualification & Experience

Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade)

Qualification: Fulltime Regular Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation) from a State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC recognized institute, with pass marks.

Experience: Minimum 10 years of post-qualification site experience in the Power Sector (including training period, if any), in a Govt. Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Organization – of which at least 6 years must be in a 50 MW or more grid-connected Solar and/or Wind Project, in Operation and Maintenance/Asset Management.

Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade)

Qualification: Fulltime Graduate in Engineering (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics/Control & Instrumentation/Civil/Mechanical) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/Institute. SC, ST & PwBD candidates with passing marks are eligible to apply.

Experience: Minimum 12 years of post-qualification executive-cadre experience in the Power Sector (including training period, if any) – of which at least 10 years must be with a Renewable Energy Developer of Solar and/or Wind Projects, including a minimum of 2 years of site experience in a 50 MW or more grid-connected project in Construction/Erection/Commissioning.

Government/PSU candidates applying for the E-6 level post must additionally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the pay scale of ₹80,000-₹2,20,000 (IDA E-5 Grade or above, effective 01-01-2017) or equivalent, within the 12 years of post-qualification executive experience.

Age Limit

Age relaxation, where a vacancy is identified for the category: 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC candidates, and 10 years for PwBD candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen is applicable as per Government guidelines

 

Salary / Pay Scale :

Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade): Pay scale of ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000, with an initial Basic Pay of ₹40,000. Other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, perquisites, allowances and terminal benefits are admissible as per company rules.

Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade): Pay scale of ₹90,000 – ₹2,40,000, with an initial Basic Pay of ₹90,000. Other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, perquisites, allowances and terminal benefits are admissible as per company rules.

Application Fee

Payment must be made online through the SBI Collect Payment Gateway using Net Banking, Debit Card, Credit Card, or UPI. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.

NGEL Health & Medical Standards

Candidates must possess sound health. Before joining, selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at a specified government hospital (of at least district hospital status). No relaxation in prescribed health standards is allowed. Detailed medical norms are available on www.ngel.in, and applicants are advised to review them before applying.

Documents Required for NGEL Application

Class X/Matriculation passing certificate/marksheet, valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card (for proof of name and date of birth, which must match across all documents)

For E-0 Grade: Diploma consolidated marksheet/transcript/all semester marksheets showing aggregate percentage, and passing certificate

For E-6 Grade: Engineering consolidated marksheet/transcript/all semester marksheets showing aggregate percentage, and passing certificate

Marks conversion formula from the university/institute, where CGPA/CGPI/DGPA/CGI/CPI needs conversion to percentage

Documents for other qualifications (pass certificates and marksheets), if any

Caste/Disability certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS candidates), as applicable

OBC-NCL certificate in the central format valid for FY 2026-27

EWS candidates: current-year Income & Asset certificate valid for FY 2026-27, based on FY 2025-26 income

Disability certificate in the latest Central Govt. format, generated via the Swalamban/UDID portal, matching the identified disability type for the post

Experience-related documents for each organization, in chronological order from current/recent to first employer, including any combination of: Experience/Service Certificate, Offer/Appointment Letter, Joining/Confirmation/Absorption/Relieving Letter, and two pay slips per year of service

Documents demonstrating position held/work area, such as Role Assignment Orders, Organization Charts, Transfer Orders, or Promotion Orders

NOC (No Objection Certificate) from current employer, required at the time of interview for candidates from Govt./PSU organizations (or an undertaking to submit it later)

Pay the applicable non-refundable registration fee online through the SBI Collect Payment Gateway, if applicable to your category.

After submission, download the system-generated application slip with the unique form number and retain it for future reference. No documents need to be sent by post.

Important Instructions

All computations of age, experience and qualification will be done with reference to the last date of online application.

In case of multiple applications for the same post by one candidate, the application with the higher sequence number will be considered.

The Company reserves the right to cancel, restrict, curtail or increase the number of vacancies without further notice.

Selected candidates may be posted at any Corporate Centre/Site/Station/Project/JV/Subsidiary of NGEL; all posts are transferable at the  Management‘s discretion.

If ineligibility, false information, or suppression of material facts is detected at any stage – even after appointment – the candidature or service will be liable to cancellation/termination without notice.
