Eligibility :
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
All qualifications must be from Universities/Institutions recognized and approved in India.
Age, experience and qualification will be computed with reference to the last date of receipt of online application.
Category (SC/ST/OBC/PwBD) selected in the online application cannot be changed later, and no benefit of another category will be admissible afterward.
Educational Qualification & Experience
Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade)
Qualification:Â Fulltime Regular Diploma in Engineering (Electrical/Mechanical/Electronics/Electrical & Electronics/Instrumentation) from a State Technical Board or AICTE/UGC recognized institute, with pass marks.
Experience:Â Minimum 10 years of post-qualification site experience in the Power Sector (including training period, if any), in a Govt. Organization/Public Sector Undertaking/Private Organization – of which at least 6 years must be in a 50 MW or more grid-connected Solar and/or Wind Project, in Operation and Maintenance/Asset Management.
Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade)
Qualification:Â Fulltime Graduate in Engineering (Electrical/Electrical & Electronics/Electronics/Control & Instrumentation/Civil/Mechanical) with a minimum of 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/Institute. SC, ST & PwBD candidates with passing marks are eligible to apply.
Experience:Â Minimum 12 years of post-qualification executive-cadre experience in the Power Sector (including training period, if any) – of which at least 10 years must be with a Renewable Energy Developer of Solar and/or Wind Projects, including a minimum of 2 years of site experience in a 50 MW or more grid-connected project in Construction/Erection/Commissioning.
Government/PSU candidates applying for the E-6 level post must additionally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in the pay scale of ₹80,000-₹2,20,000 (IDA E-5 Grade or above, effective 01-01-2017) or equivalent, within the 12 years of post-qualification executive experience.

Salary / Pay Scale :
Assistant Engineer – RE (E-0 Grade): Pay scale of ₹30,000 – ₹1,20,000, with an initial Basic Pay of ₹40,000. Other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, perquisites, allowances and terminal benefits are admissible as per company rules.
Deputy General Manager – RE (E-6 Grade): Pay scale of ₹90,000 – ₹2,40,000, with an initial Basic Pay of ₹90,000. Other benefits such as Dearness Allowance, perquisites, allowances and terminal benefits are admissible as per company rules.

NGEL Health & Medical Standards
Candidates must possess sound health. Before joining, selected candidates must undergo a medical examination at a specified government hospital (of at least district hospital status). No relaxation in prescribed health standards is allowed. Detailed medical norms are available on www.ngel.in, and applicants are advised to review them before applying.

Class X/Matriculation passing certificate/marksheet, valid Aadhaar Card and PAN Card (for proof of name and date of birth, which must match across all documents)
For E-0 Grade: Diploma consolidated marksheet/transcript/all semester marksheets showing aggregate percentage, and passing certificate
For E-6 Grade: Engineering consolidated marksheet/transcript/all semester marksheets showing aggregate percentage, and passing certificate
Marks conversion formula from the university/institute, where CGPA/CGPI/DGPA/CGI/CPI needs conversion to percentage
Documents for other qualifications (pass certificates and marksheets), if any
Caste/Disability certificate (for SC/ST/OBC-NCL/PwBD/EWS candidates), as applicable
OBC-NCL certificate in the central format valid for FY 2026-27
EWS candidates: current-year Income & Asset certificate valid for FY 2026-27, based on FY 2025-26 income
Disability certificate in the latest Central Govt. format, generated via the Swalamban/UDID portal, matching the identified disability type for the post
Experience-related documents for each organization, in chronological order from current/recent to first employer, including any combination of: Experience/Service Certificate, Offer/Appointment Letter, Joining/Confirmation/Absorption/Relieving Letter, and two pay slips per year of service
Documents demonstrating position held/work area, such as Role Assignment Orders, Organization Charts, Transfer Orders, or Promotion Orders
NOC (No Objection Certificate) from current employer, required at the time of interview for candidates from Govt./PSU organizations (or an undertaking to submit it later)
