The Indian Army notifies combined vacancies for men and women based on the operational and administrative requirements of the Force, and the final selection and merit depend on the notified vacancies for this particular course
Eligibility Criteria :
Nationality
A citizen of India, or
A subject of Nepal, or
A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India (a certificate of eligibility from the Government of India is required for these categories, except Gorkha subjects of Nepal).
Marital Status
Open only to unmarried male and unmarried female law graduates.
Educational Qualification
Minimum 55% aggregate marks in LLB Degree (three years professional course after graduation, or five years after 10+2 examination).
CLAT PG 2026 Score (conducted in December 2025) is mandatory for all candidates, including LLM-qualified and LLM-appearing candidates. No other CLAT PG exam score will be accepted.

Candidates must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India/State.
The LLB degree must be from a College/University recognized by the Bar Council of India.
All candidates applying for JAG Entry must get their CLAT PG 2026 result verified at the Selection Centre before the SSB is conducted – failure to do so makes the candidate ineligible for SSB, with no representation accepted.

The date of birth recorded in the Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate (or equivalent) on the date of application submission will be treated as final; no subsequent request for change will be considered.
Salary and Pay Scale
Stipend during training at OTA, Chennai: ₹56,100 per month.
Rank after training: Lieutenant.
Pay Level on commissioning: Level 10, ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500.
Military Service Pay (MSP): ₹15,500 per month (Lieutenant to Brigadier).
Approximate CTC on commissioning: ₹17–18 lakh per annum.
Additional allowances (as applicable and subject to eligibility conditions): Dearness Allowance, Para Allowance, Field Area Allowances, Dress Allowance, Transport Allowance, Children  Education Allowance, Hostel Subsidy, among others specified in the notification.

Selection Process
Application submission and shortlisting (based on CLAT PG 2026 score and vacancy-to-call-up ratio).
Selection of SSB Centre and Date (first-come-first-served, once selected cannot be changed by the candidate).
SSB Interview (two-stage selection at Prayagraj, Bhopal, Bengaluru, or Jalandhar) – duration up to five days. Candidates failing Stage-I are returned the same day.
Medical Examination for candidates recommended after Stage-II.
Merit List preparation based on SSB marks.
Joining Letter for Pre-Commission Training at OTA, Chennai, subject to eligibility and vacancy.
Qualifying the SSB interview alone does not confirm final selection – final selection depends on the merit list and availability of vacancies.
Documents Required for SSB Interview
Signed printout of the online application with self-attested photograph.
Matriculation/Secondary School Examination Certificate (or equivalent) and mark sheet.
12th Class Certificate and Mark Sheet.
Graduation Degree/Provisional Degree (for three-year LLB after graduation).
LLB Degree/Provisional Degree from a recognized university.
Mark sheets of all years/semesters.
Registration with Bar Council of India/State, or a certificate confirming the LLB course is recognized by the Bar Council of India.
University certificate on the CGPA-to-percentage conversion formula (if applicable).
CLAT PG 2026 Score Card (conducted in December 2025).
DigiLocker certificates will not be accepted in place of original certificates. All original documents must be carried for verification at the SSB; originals are returned after verification.
How to Apply for Indian Army JAG Entry Scheme 125th Course
Visit www.joinindianarmy.nic.in and click on ‘Officer Entry Application/Login’.
Click ‘Registration’ (not required if already registered on the website).
Fill the online registration form after reading the instructions carefully.
After registration, click ‘Apply Online’ under the Dashboard.
On the ‘Officer Selection – Eligibility’ page, click ‘Apply’ against Short Service Commission JAG Entry Course.
GCET Jammu Recruitment 2026
Fill in personal information, communication details,  education details, and previous SSB details (if any) under the ‘Application Form’ page.
Review the summary of information, then click ‘Submit’ only after confirming all details are correct.
Take two printouts of the application (with roll number) 30 minutes after the online application closes on the last day.
Important Instructions
No changes can be made to the online application after it closes; no representation on this will be entertained.
CGPA/Grades must be converted to marks as per the university’s formula before filling in the application.
The candidate’s name, parents’ names, and date of birth in the profile and application must match the Matriculation/Secondary School certificate exactly.
Only one online application per candidate is allowed; multiple applications will lead to cancellation of candidature.
Candidates serving in the Armed Forces must inform their Commanding Officer in writing and carry a countersigned application to the SSB.
Requests to change the SSB interview date or centre will not be entertained.
Candidates must report within 7 days of their candidature reporting date, or their candidature will be cancelled.
Candidates who marry after the date of application, or during training, will lose eligibility or be withdrawn from training.
In case of any discrepancy between the English and Hindi versions of the notification, the English version shall prevail.
