University of Jammu – Recruitment 2026
The Department of Space Science, University of Jammu has invited applications for the recruitment of a Junior Research Fellow (JRF) convertible to PhD under the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India-funded project titled “Development of Wireless Power System for DPH under Centre for Space Sciences, Central University of Jammu.”
The selected candidate will have the opportunity to pursue a PhD under the project, subject to the applicable rules and requirements.
Research Areas
The research work will focus on the following areas:
Wireless Communication
Space Communication
Quantum Communication
Security in Space Communication
Essential Qualification
Applicants should possess any of the following qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech.
J&K School Education Department SEV Recruitment 2026
M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics and Communication Engineering
M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering
Equivalent qualification with a valid GATE/NET/JRF qualification.
Stipend
The selected JRF will receive a stipend of:
₹37,000 per month + HRA as per Central Government norms for the first two years.
If the project continues, the stipend will be ₹42,000 per month + HRA for the third year.
Note: In case the project is discontinued, a stipend of ₹25,000 per month will be provided by the University from UGC funds, as mentioned in the notice.
