Online applications are invited from highly motivated and eligible candidates for the position of Project Assistant (PA) under the JKST&IC-funded research project titled “Microplastic Contamination in the Packaged Food Products of Kashmir: Quantitative Assessment, Migration Dynamics and Simulation Studies.”

The position is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project.

No. of Positions : 01

Monthly Emoluments : ₹20,000/- per month plus HRA (as admissible)

 

Eligibility :

Essential : Bachelor’s Degree in Science/Food Technology.

Desirable : Master’s Degree in Food Technology/Food Science & Technology/Food Science. Experience in food analysis/ analytical instrumentation/microplastic analysis/laboratory research/ will be preferred.

 

Duration : Initially for six months, extendable based on satisfactory performance, project requirements and availability of funds

Applicants are required to apply online through the University website (www.iust.ac.in). The last date for submission of online applications shall be 15 days from the date of publication of this advertisement. No other mode of application shall be accepted.

 

Terms & Conditions

1. The engagement is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project and shall not confer any right to claim regular appointment in the University.

2. The University reserves the right to terminate the engagement of a candidate at any stage without assigning any reason.

3. Shortlisted candidates shall produce original certificates along with one set of self-attested photocopies and relevant testimonials at the time of interview.

4. No TA/DA shall be paid for appearing in the interview.

5. The University reserves the right not to fill the advertised position or to modify/cancel the advertisement without assigning any reason.

6. In case a selected candidate wishes to resign before completion of the engagement, a one-month notice or one month’s emoluments in lieu thereof shall be required.

7. The appointment shall be governed by the rules, regulations and guidelines of the University and the funding agency, as amended from time to time.
