JKSSB Recruitment 2026: 518 UT/Divisional/District Cadre Posts Announced in Various Departments
The Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) has released Advertisement Notification No. 08 of 2026 inviting online applications for 518 UT/Divisional/District Cadre posts in various Government departments of Jammu & Kashmir. Eligible candidates can submit their online applications from 10 September 2026 to 09 October 2026.

Domicile
Applicants must be domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir and possess a valid Domicile Certificate issued on or before the last date of application submission.
Age Limit (As on 01 January 2026)
Open Merit (OM): Maximum 40 Years
SC/ST-1/ST-2/RBA/ALC-IB/EWS/OBC: Maximum 43 Years
PwBD: Maximum 42 Years
Ex-Servicemen: As per Government rules after deduction of military service, subject to prescribed conditions.
Educational Qualification
The educational qualification varies from post to post. Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification mentioned against each post in Annexure-A of the notification on or before the closing date of applications.

Document Verification
Selection will be based on merit obtained in the written examination for the respective posts.

Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions
Question Paper in English only
Negative Marking of one-fourth (0.25) marks for every incorrect answer.
Application Fee
General Category: ₹600
SC/ST-1/ST-2/EWS/PwBD: ₹500
Fee is to be paid online through Net Banking, Debit Card or Credit Card.
Important Instructions
Candidates must upload their live photograph, signature, valid category certificate (where applicable), and required qualification certificates while submitting the online application.
Only one application is allowed for the same post/item number.
Applications with blurred or illegible photographs/signatures are liable to be rejected.
No correction in the application form will be permitted after final submission.
