State-wise Vacancy Details
The 250 vacancies are distributed across four states, and candidates must apply for only one state. Merit lists will be prepared state-wise and category-wise.

Category-wise reservation (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/UR) and the PwBD sub-quota (VI/HI/OC/ID) for each state are given in the detailed notification. Some state vacancies include backlog posts, and the number of vacancies, including reserved vacancies, is provisional and may vary according to the Bank’s actual requirement.
Eligibility Criteria :
Candidates can apply for the vacancy of only one state and must fulfil the eligibility criteria specified for that state, including the mandatory local language proficiency.
Nationality/Citizenship
A candidate must be a citizen of India, or a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or a Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of settling permanently, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia) or Vietnam with the intention of settling permanently in India, subject to the required eligibility certificate from the Government of India.

Educational Qualification
Candidates must hold a Degree (Graduation) in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Candidates must possess a valid mark-sheet/degree certificate showing they are a graduate on the day they register, and must indicate their graduation percentage while registering online.
Age Limit 2026-27
The cut-off date for age and educational qualification eligibility is 01.08.2026 (the first day of the month in which online registration commences). Candidates must have been born not later than 01.08.2006 and not earlier than 02.08.1996 (both dates inclusive).

The maximum age limit applies to General category and EWS candidates. Cumulative age relaxation across categories is available to SC/ST/OBC candidates, subject to a maximum upper age limit of 50 years, and is available only when the candidate meets the conditions prescribed in the relevant Government of India guidelines.

The fee is payable online via Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet  Banking, or UPI/BHIM. The fee is non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other  recruitment process, even if the application is not completed.
Selection Process 2026-27
Selection is made through an Online Examination, followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT) for candidates who have not studied the applied state’s local language in Std. X or Std. XII, and a Personal Interview.

There is a penalty of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer, with no penalty for unattempted questions. There is no sectional cut-off, but the minimum qualifying aggregate is 30% for reserved category candidates and 35% for unreserved candidates.
Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
Candidates shortlisted for the Personal Interview who have not studied the applied state’s local language in Std. X or Std. XII must qualify an LPT before the interview. Candidates who fail the LPT will not proceed further in the selection process.
Personal Interview
The Personal Interview carries 100 marks. The minimum qualifying marks are 45% for reserved category candidates and 50% for unreserved candidates.
Final Selection
The weightage of Online Examination and Personal Interview is in the ratio of 80:20. The minimum aggregate score (Online Exam + Interview) required is 30% for reserved categories and 35% for unreserved category candidates. The final merit list is prepared state-wise and category-wise.
Probation and Bond
Selected candidates will be on probation for 2 years of active service from the date of joining. They must execute a Financial Service Indemnity Bond of ₹2,00,000 for rendering a minimum of 3 years of service.

Click on “Recruitment of Local Bank Officers – 2026-27” and select the post to apply.
Click “Click here to Register Online” and complete first-time registration.
Note the system-generated Registration Number and Password sent by email/SMS.
Log in and upload photograph, signature, left thumb impression and handwritten declaration as per the specified format.
Fill in all required details in the online application form carefully and accurately.
Pay the applicable application fee/intimation charges online.
Click “Complete Registration” and take a printout of the submitted application form and fee e-receipt for future reference.
Applications can be submitted only online from 08.08.2026 to 24.08.2026. No other mode of application is accepted, and applications once submitted cannot be withdrawn.
Important Instructions
Candidates can apply for only one state; a candidate applying for one state’s vacancy is not eligible to apply for any other state.
Selected candidates will be posted within the applied state for the first 12 years of service or until promotion to SMGS-IV, whichever is earlier.
Application Fee/Intimation charges, once paid, are non-refundable and cannot be adjusted against any other  recruitment process.
If multiple applications are submitted for the same state, only the last submitted application will be considered.
Ration Card and Learner’s Driving Licence are not accepted as valid photo ID proof.
Request for change of examination centre, Personal Interview date, or centre will not be entertained.
Candidates working in Government/Quasi-Government/PSU roles must produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of Personal Interview.
Examination Centres
The online examination will be conducted at various centres across India, including Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu; Bengaluru, Hubli-Dharwad, Mysuru in Karnataka; Mumbai/Thane/Navi Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur in Maharashtra; and Ahmedabad/Gandhinagar, Surat, Rajkot in Gujarat, among other centres nationwide. The Bank reserves the right to add, delete, or reassign examination centres based on response and administrative feasibility.
