A spell of rain/ thundershowers is expected at many places of Jammu and Kashmir during the next 6hrs.

Intense showers/ flash floods along with short very heavy showers is expected at few parts.

Jammu & Kashmir is currently under a wet-weather spell. Thunderstorms and showers are possible today, with heavy rain possible at isolated places.

IMD warning: Heavy rain is forecast in J&K on August 18–21, with thunderstorm/lightning activity continuing into August 22–23. Gusty winds of 30–40 km/h are also possible in some areas. (Mausam)

⚠️ Jammu division: Higher risk of heavy showers, thunderstorms and localized flash-flood/landslide issues in vulnerable areas.

🌧️ Kashmir division: Widespread light–moderate rain/thunderstorms, with isolated heavy rain possible later in the spell.
