Applications are invited in the prescribed format, available on the University website, from eligible candidates for the following temporary (Contractual) positions on academic arrangement basis at the Institute of Biotechnology for the Academic Session 2026–27

Post : Assistant Professor (Botany/Zoology)

No of Posts : 01

Age limit :

Candidate should not be less than 20 years and not more than 55 years as on 01-01-2026

Consolidated wages : Rs. 45000/- per month for Ph.D. and Rs. 35000/- per month for masters. (Fixed)

Essential Qualification : High Second Class (55% marks) Postgraduate Degree (M.Sc.) in Botany/ Zoology

Desirable qualification : NET/SET/Ph.D. in the concerned subject and teaching/research experience in Botany/Zoology as evidenced by relevant documents/publications.

Terms and Conditions for academic arrangement are as under :-

I. The engagement shall be purely on contract basis.

II. No legal right to claim his/her regularization/appointment by absorption or otherwise against any regular post in the University. In event of the relinquishing of the engagement one month prior notice is essential.

III. The appointment is for Ist semester of academic session 2026-27. The extension for one more semester may be granted subject to satisfactory performance of the contractee and availability of funds.

IV. Eligible candidates will be informed through E-mail.

V. No TA/DA shall be paid for attending the interview.
