The advertisement invites applications for Guest Faculty in the Electrician (Self-Finance) trade.
Electrician – Self-Finance
Candidates must possess any one of the following qualifications:
B.Voc/Degree in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an AICTE/UGC-recognized Engineering College/University, along with one year of experience in the relevant field.
OR
Three-year Diploma in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an AICTE/recognized technical education board, or a relevant Advanced Diploma (Vocational) from DGT, with two years of experience in the relevant field.
OR
NAC/NTC/CTS passed in the trade of Electrician and CITS/NCIC passed in the relevant trade, with three years of experience in the relevant field.
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should be:
Minimum Age: 18 years
Maximum Age: 45 years
The age will be considered as on 1 January 2026.
Documents Required
Applicants must submit the duly completed application form in the prescribed format along with self-attested copies of the required documents.
The following documents are required:
Academic/Technical Qualification Certificate and Marks Certificate.
Date of Birth Certificate.
Domicile Certificate.
Character Certificate in original.
Experience Certificate, if applicable.

Selection and Merit Criteria
The merit of candidates will be calculated on a pro-rata basis. A maximum of 100 points will be considered for determining merit.
The merit assessment includes:
Basic essential qualification as per DGT norms: 70 marks
Higher relevant qualification, such as Ph.D., M.E./M.Tech relevant to the trade/discipline: 10 marks
Professional/technical certification, such as NET/SET/GATE: 5 marks
Relevant full-time teaching/field experience in a J&K-recognized technical or skill institution after qualification: 5 marks
Structured interaction/demonstration before the Selection Committee: 10 marks
Total: 100 marks
The interaction/demonstration will be assessed against a pre-declared rubric covering areas such as subject knowledge, communication skills and practical/demonstration ability.
Important Conditions of Engagement
The engagement of Guest Faculty will be made only on a need basis for the Academic Session 2026-27.
The assignment will co-terminate with the academic session and may be terminated at any time depending upon the requirement of the department.
The engagement does not confer any right to regular appointment, permanent absorption, continuation or regularization.
The department reserves the right to reject incomplete or deficient applications after assigning proper reasons.
The eligibility criteria and remuneration for Guest Faculty will be governed by the applicable departmental guidelines/directions issued from time to time.
Discipline and Conduct
Selected candidates will be required to maintain proper discipline and punctuality and work towards the overall satisfaction of students as well as the institution.
Any involvement in indiscipline, misconduct, moral turpitude or submission of false documentation may result in termination of the engagement.
Undertaking/Affidavit
Before joining, every selected candidate will have to execute an undertaking/affidavit, duly attested by a First-Class Judicial Magistrate, in the prescribed format.
The undertaking will confirm, among other things, that:
The candidate understands that the engagement is purely temporary and session-specific.
The engagement does not provide any claim for regularization, permanent absorption or continuation.
The candidate will abide by the applicable Code of Conduct.
No claim for regular appointment can be made on the basis of the Guest Faculty engagement.
