PM to distribute 51000 job letters during 20th Rozgar Mela on Sept 19
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hand over 51,000 appointment letters to the youth through video conferencing during 20th Rozgar Mela being organized at around 45 locations across the country on September 19.
In Jammu and Kashmir, the Rozgar Mela will be held at Jammu Convention Centre (JCC) during which the job letters to newly recruited youth will be distributed by Union Minister of State for Coals and Mines Satish Chander Dubey.
Last Rozgar Mela, which was 19th, was held on May 23, 2026.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh will coordinate the Rozgar Mela from New Delhi.
Sources told the Excelsior that the Prime Minister will distribute around 51,000 appointment letters to the youth through video conferencing during the Rozgar Mela. He will address the youth virtually before handing over the job letters.

The Finance Department is the leading department in September 19 Rozgar Mela with the jobs, the sources said, adding that many other departments have also contributed to the 51,000 appointments.

Rozgar Mela is being organized at around 45 locations across the country including Jammu and Kashmir.
At all the places where Rozgar Mela is being organized, the Central Ministers, Chief Ministers or other prominent dignitaries will attend the function and physically give jobs letters to the newly recruited youth after the Prime Minister’s virtual address at all the locations.
In Jammu, Union Minister of State for Coals and Mines Satish Chander Dubey will attend the function in presence of Members of Parliament (MPs), senior officers from the administration and other dignitaries.
After the Prime Minister’s address, Dubey will distribute letters to the youth of Jammu and Kashmir and address them. Youths from across Jammu and Kashmir who have been selected in different Central Government departments will gather at Jammu to take the job letters from the Union Minister.
In every Rozgar Mela, job letters ranging from 51,000 to one lakh have been distributed among the youth selected in the Central jobs. Total number of appointment letters depends upon the selections made by the recuritment agencies during that particular period, the sources said.
Union Minister of State in the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) Dr Jitendra Singh, Incharge Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), will coordinate Rozgar Mela from New Delhi. Earlier also, he coordinated all previous 19 editions of Rozgar Mela.
Last Rozgar Mela, which was 19th, was held on May 23, 2026 at around 45 places in the country in which Narendra Modi handed over 51,000 job letters virtually.
“In line with the Prime Minister’s commitment to accord the highest priority to employment generation, Rozgar Mela is a key initiative aimed at translating this vision into action. Since its inception, nearly 12 lakh recruitment letters have been issued to the youth across the country,” the sources said.
The newly recruited candidates, selected from all parts of India, will be joining different Central Government departments though the Finance Department accounts for majority posts in the 20th Rozgar Mela.
The Rozgar Mela is part of the Centre’s push to strengthen employment opportunities for the youth.
