J&K Weather Forecast: Light Rain and Thunderstorms Likely Today

Jammu and Kashmir is witnessing generally cloudy weather, with light rain and thundershowers reported over many places, according to the Meteorological Centre Srinagar.

The weather department has forecast generally cloudy conditions on Monday, September 28, with a spell of light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at many places till late afternoon.

The weather is expected to remain generally dry on September 29-30 and October 1-3.

From October 4-6, partly to generally cloudy weather is likely, with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places.

The department has forecast generally dry weather on October 7-8, while partly to generally cloudy conditions with light rain, light snowfall over higher reaches, thunder and gusty winds at a few places are expected on October 9-10.
Advisory

The Meteorological Centre has advised farmers to continue harvesting apples, paddy and other crops from tomorrow onwards.

It has also advised farmers to ensure safe storage of harvested crops during Monday in view of the prevailing weather conditions.
