BJP Walks Out Amid Uproar; House Business Ends, Assembly to Meet Tuesday

Srinagar, Sep 28 : The Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly on Monday passed a resolution calling upon the Government of India for the immediate and urgent restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir.

As per news agency stated that, the resolution was moved by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the House, stating that it was in addition to the resolutions passed by the Assembly on June 26, 2000 and November 6, 2024.

The resolution states that the House “calls upon the Government of India for the immediate and urgent restoration of full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir” and resolves that it be forwarded to the Government of India.

Meanwhile, BJP legislators walked out of the House amid uproar and sloganeering during the proceedings.

With the day’s listed business completed, the House adjourned and will meet again on Tuesday. (JKNS)
