J&K School Timings Revised From October 1, 2026

The Directorate of School Education Jammu (DSEJ) has revised the school timings for Government and recognised private schools up to the Higher Secondary level across the Jammu Division. The new timings will come into effect from October 1, 2026.

Revised Jammu School Timings 2026

As per the revised schedule, schools in the Jammu Division will follow different timings for the Summer and Winter Zones.

Summer Zone School Timing

Schools falling under the Summer Zone will function from:

9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Winter Zone School Timing

Schools falling under the Winter Zone will function from:

9:30 AM to 3:30 PM

The revised timings will be applicable from October 1, 2026.

Schools Directed to Follow New Timings

The Directorate of School Education Jammu has directed all concerned Government and recognised private schools to strictly adhere to the newly notified timings.

J&K Assembly Passes Resolution Seeking Restoration of Full Statehood

Schools have been instructed not to deviate from the prescribed schedule. Any violation or deviation from the notified timings may invite action under the applicable rules.

Jammu School Timings 2026: Important Details

The revised schedule applies to schools up to the Higher Secondary level in the Jammu Division. Students, parents and teaching staff are advised to take note of the new timings and plan their daily school schedules accordingly.

The change will officially take effect from October 1, 2026.
