Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must possess the qualifications prescribed for their selected post as on 1 October 2026. Journeyman posts require 10th Pass and relevant National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) qualifications. Driver (Vehicle) posts require a valid Commercial LMV Driving Licence and six years of relevant driving experience.

Important Driving Licence Rule: The Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence is listed as desirable, while six years of experience driving both light and heavy motor vehicles is essential. Candidates must satisfy the complete experience requirements in the advertisement.
Driver applicants must have a clean driving record without major accidents, police complaints related to accidents, serious traffic violations, reckless driving or driving under the influence of alcohol during the preceding six years.
Higher Professional Qualification Restriction
The notification excludes candidates holding specified higher professional qualifications, including Engineering/Technology degrees, MBA, CA, CMA, CS, LL.B., MCA, Ph.D. or equivalent higher professional qualifications.

GRSE Journeyman Stipend 2026
Selected Journeymen will undergo two years of training on a fixed monthly stipend.

GRSE Journeyman Absorption and Pay Scale
After successful completion of the two-year training, Journeymen may be considered for absorption into the permanent Semi-Skilled (SSK) grade, subject to performance, vacancies, medical fitness, disciplinary clearance and organizational requirements.
