Salary and Pay Scale

The selected candidates will receive salaries according to the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) pay matrix, along with other admissible allowances as per university and government rules.

Educational Qualification for Professor Posts

Educational Qualification for Associate Professor Posts

Candidates applying for Associate Professor positions must fulfil the following educational and experience requirements:

1. Ph.D. Degree: Candidates must possess a Ph.D. degree in the concerned, allied or relevant discipline.

2. Master’s Degree: A Master’s degree with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade on the applicable grading scale is required.

3. Teaching/Research Experience: Candidates must have a minimum of eight years of teaching and/or research experience in an academic or research position equivalent to that of an Assistant Professor.

4. Research Publications: Candidates must have at least seven publications in peer-reviewed or UGC-listed journals.

5. Academic/Research Score: A minimum Academic/Research Score of 75 is required under Appendix II, Table 2 of the UGC Regulations, 2018.

The experience may be in a university, college, accredited research institution or industry, as prescribed in the notification.

Research publications will be evaluated in accordance with the UGC Public Notice dated July 16, 2025.

Percentage Equivalence for Master’s Degree

The university has also provided the percentage equivalence of grade points for candidates whose Master’s degrees are based on the UGC Seven-Point Grading Scale.

The notification specifies that a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade of ‘B’ is required wherever the grading system is followed.

The grade equivalence mentioned in the advertisement is as follows : 

A relaxation of 5% in the marks requirement, from 55% to 50%, may be provided to Ph.D. degree holders who obtained their Master’s degree before September 19, 1991.

Screening and Selection Process

The screening of applications for the advertised faculty positions will be conducted according to the shortlisting criteria prescribed under the UGC Regulations, 2018 and university norms.

4. Every claim relating to Academic/Research Score must be supported by documentary evidence through the Performance Based Appraisal System (PBAS) Proforma.

5. Candidates must mention the relevant page numbers on supporting documents corresponding to the entries made in the application form.

6. Details of research papers and book chapters, including titles, journal or book names, volume, page numbers, publication year and ISSN/ISBN, must be properly mentioned and supported by documentary evidence.

7. Candidates already employed in any organisation must submit their applications through the proper channel. An advance copy/hard copy must also be submitted to the university.

8. The application forwarded through the proper channel by the employer must reach the university at least 10 days before the interview. Failure to do so may result in the candidate not being called for the interview.

9. All enclosures attached to the application form must be self-attested and arranged in the same order as the serial numbers generated in the application.

10. Candidates must produce original documents relating to age, qualifications, experience, fitness and other claims at the time of the interview and before joining.

11. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates appearing for the interview.

12. Candidates must write their names strictly according to their Matriculation or Higher Secondary certificates.

13. Candidates applying under reserved categories must possess a valid category certificate issued by the competent authority at the time of applying.

Important Clarification Regarding EWS Vacancies

The university has clarified that the position advertised under the EWS category is primarily meant for eligible EWS candidates.

However, since EWS vacancies are not carried forward as backlog vacancies to the next recruitment year, the university may fill such positions under the Unreserved (UR) category if suitable EWS candidates are not available.

Accordingly, UR candidates may also apply against the EWS position at their own risk and responsibility. Their candidature will be considered only if suitable EWS candidates are unavailable.
