Kashmir University Releases Provisional List for Assistant Professor Recruitment 2026
The University of Kashmir has issued an important notification for candidates who applied for Assistant Professor positions under Advertisement Notice No. 17 of 2026, dated August 06, 2026.
The University has published the provisional list of applicants, mentioning their claimed Academic Performance Indicator (API) scores and deficiencies or objections identified during the scrutiny of applications.
The notification covers the following subjects and departments :
Centre of Central Asian Studies – Archaeology
Centre of Central Asian Studies – Kashmiri
Urdu Department

Important Dates
Notification Date: November 03, 2026
Advertisement Notice: No. 17 of 2026, dated August 06, 2026
Last Date for Submission of Documents/Clarifications: November 10, 2026
Time Allowed: 07 days from the date of issuance of the notification.
Last Date to Submit Objections and Documents
As per the official notification, candidates who have any queries regarding discrepancies or deficiencies reflected against their application status may approach the Recruitment Section of the University of Kashmir in person.
Applicants must submit their documentary proof and clarification within seven days from the date of issuance of the notice.
The last date for submitting representations and supporting documents is November 10, 2026.
The University has clearly stated that no claim for clearance of deficiencies will be entertained after November 10, 2026.
Important Instructions for Candidates
Candidates must carefully check their provisional API scores and observations mentioned in the relevant annexures.
Applicants having discrepancies in their application status may visit the Recruitment Section of the University of Kashmir.
Candidates must carry valid documentary proof supporting their claims.
All representations and supporting documents must be submitted on or before November 10, 2026.
The candidature of all applicants shall remain purely provisional and subject to fulfilment of the eligibility conditions prescribed in the advertisement notice.

Important Notice Regarding Other Subjects
The University has clarified that deficiencies and observations concerning applicants from other subjects will be issued shortly.

Official Notification and Annexures
The University has clarified that all notifications will be made available only on its official website. No notification will be published in print media, and individual candidates will not be informed separately.
Notices uploaded on the University’s official website shall be deemed to have been served to the concerned candidates.
