SKUAST Kashmir Recruitment 2026: Salary Up to ₹1,12,400 pm

Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K), Shalimar, Srinagar, has released an official recruitment notification inviting online applications from eligible domiciles of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir for various non-teaching positions.

As per Advertisement Notice No. 11 of 2026, dated November 2, 2026, the university has announced a total of 9 vacancies across different categories. The advertised positions include Junior Engineer, Statistical Assistant, Tutor (English), Works Supervisor, Mechanic and Security Guard.

Interested and eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official website of SKUAST Kashmir. The online application process will commence on November 3, 2026.

The university has advertised 9 vacancies for different non-teaching positions. The post-wise vacancy distribution is given below.

1. Junior Engineer (Auto-Mobile)

 

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Automobile Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.

OR

Candidates having a Diploma in the relevant field along with five years of experience may also apply. The experience requirement is relaxable in the case of in-service candidates.

2. Junior Engineer (Electric)

 

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.

OR

Candidates having a Diploma along with five years of experience in the relevant field are eligible. The experience requirement is relaxable in the case of in-service candidates.

3. Statistical Assistant

 

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must possess an M.A. or M.Sc. Degree in Statistics from a recognized university or institution.

4. Tutor (English)

 

Educational Qualification :

Candidates must possess a Master’s Degree in English with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade wherever the grading system is followed.

Important Instructions for In-Service Candidates

Candidates already working in government departments or institutions must follow an additional procedure.

Apart from submitting the online application form, in-service candidates are also required to submit or send their application forms through the proper channel.

The application form must reach the Registrar, SKUAST-K, Shalimar, Srinagar, UT of Jammu and Kashmir – 190025, on or before November 30, 2026.

Failure to follow the prescribed procedure may affect the candidature of such applicants.

General Terms and Conditions

The university has prescribed several important conditions that candidates must carefully read before applying.

1. Cut-Off Date for Eligibility

The last date prescribed for the receipt of online application forms will be treated as the cut-off date for determining eligibility.

Any qualification or experience acquired after the last date will not be considered.

2. Valid Category Certificates

Candidates seeking consideration under reserved categories must possess valid category certificates on or before the cut-off date for submission of online applications.

Certificates that are under process will not be accepted. Similarly, category certificates issued after the prescribed cut-off date will not be entertained.

3. Educational Qualification Certificates

All certificates supporting educational qualifications must have been issued by duly recognized universities, institutions, organizations or departments, as applicable.

Only relevant qualifications and category status possessed on or before the last date of application should be mentioned in the application form.

4. Verification of Documents

Candidates will be required to produce their original certificates and testimonials along with a printed copy of the online application form at the time of document verification, whenever notified by the university.

The candidature of applicants will remain provisional until the university verifies the genuineness of their educational and category certificates.

5. Separate Applications for Multiple Posts

Candidates wishing to apply for more than one advertised position must submit separate application forms for each post.

The prescribed application fee must also be paid separately for every application.

6. Number of Vacancies

The number of vacancies mentioned in the advertisement is tentative.

The university reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of posts at the time of appointment.

7. Right to Withdraw or Defer Recruitment

SKUAST Kashmir reserves the right to withdraw or defer the filling up of any or all advertised positions at any stage without assigning any reason.

8. Canvassing Prohibited

Any form of canvassing by a candidate will lead to disqualification from the recruitment process.

9. Mobile Number and Email Address

Candidates must provide their personal mobile numbers and active email addresses in the relevant sections of the application form.

These details will be used by the university for communication and clarification purposes.

10. Written Test, Skill Test or Interview

The syllabus for the written examination will be notified separately and made available on the official university website.

If the number of applicants is considerably high, the university may shortlist candidates for the Written Test, Skill Test or Interview in the manner and ratio decided by the university.

11. No TA/DA

No Travelling Allowance (TA) or Dearness Allowance (DA) will be paid to candidates for participating in the examination, interview or any other stage of the selection process.

12. Misconduct and Malpractice

If any candidate is found involved in irregularities, misconduct or malpractice at any stage of the selection process, their candidature will be cancelled immediately.

Such candidates may also be debarred from future examinations, along with any other action deemed appropriate under the applicable rules.

13. Jurisdiction

In case of any dispute, suit or legal proceedings against the university, the jurisdiction will be restricted to the courts at Srinagar, Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

14. Service Conditions

The service conditions and mode of appointment will be governed by the statutes and rules of SKUAST Kashmir, including amendments introduced from time to time, read together with the provisions of J&K Civil Services Regulations (CSR), wherever applicable at the time of appointment.
