J&K Weather update : A fresh Western Disturbance is very likely to affect J&K, Ladakh

A fresh Western Disturbance is very likely to affect Western Himalayan region (Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand) from 13th April.

The peak activity due to this system is likely on 14th April when the Western Himalayan Region is likely to experience scattered to fairly widespread rain/snow with isolated thunderstorms/hailstorms, gusty winds & lightning.

Plains of Northwest India are also likely to experience isolated rainfall accompanied with thunderstorm & lightning on 13th April. Due to favourable location of anti-cyclone over Bay of Bengal and resultant moisture incursion towards northeast India at lower levels, scattered to fairly ws rainfall / thunderstorm accompanied with lightning & gusty/squally winds very likely over parts of Sub-Himalayan West Bengal & Sikkim and northeast India till 15th April wid slight reduction on 13th April.

These areas very likely to experience. Isolated hail on 11th & 12th April and iso heavy rainfall on 15th April.
