Applications on the prescribed format are invited for hiring services of the eligible candidates against the following positions on contract basis in the Multi-Disciplinary Research Unit (MRU) funded by Ministry of Health &Family Welfare, Govt. of India, in Government Medical College, Srinagar in accordance with the provisions/guidelines of the scheme for a period of one year or till continuation of the scheme/availability of funds whichever is earlier. However, these candidates who have already applied for the post of Research Scientist-II and Research Scientist-I in response to this office advertisement notice No: NGS/MC/19/2112-15 dated: 28.11.2019 need not to apply again.

Eligibility Criteria:

Essential: PhD/Msc Degree holders in Biochemistry/Genetics/ Biotechnology/Microbiology/M.Pharm from UGC/MCI recognized institution nstitution with two years Research Experience.

Desirable: Those who have qualified NET/CSIR/UGC or ICMR/PGI Essential: MSc Degree holders in Biochemistry/Biotechnology/ Microbiology/M. Pharm from UGC/MCI recognized Institution. Desirable:Those who have qualified NET/CSIR/UGC or ICMR/PGI.

Applications should be accompanied with the following copies of the documents:

Date of Birth certificate (matriculation)

Degree certificates of the courses mentioned in the eligibility criteria column alongwith Marks Certificates, if any.

Experience certificate in the specialty

Publication in standard National/international Journals.

The candidates may download the application format and pay in slip from the official website i.e, http://www.gmcs.edu.in or obtain the same from office of the Principal/Dean Government Medical College, Srinagar .

In case of large numbers of applications for the above posts, the candidates will be shortlisted for interview in accordance with number of posts or will be put to written test.

The applications complete in all respects and accompanied with pay in slip for an amount of Rs. 200/- (credited to Account No: SB 7655) must reach to the office of undersigned with effect from 15.10.2020 to 22.10.2020 up to 1.00 PM.

The selected candidates shall have to execute an agreement that he/she will not leave the Department before the completion of one year’s contract, however abandoning/ terminating of the arrangement as the case may be will require two months prior notice on either side, failing which the salary shall not be paid for the two months to the incumbent which shall always remain in deposit with the Department and shall be released on completion of sanctioned term.

No TA/DA will be paid for participation in the written test/interview.
