All J&K Patwar Association announces 3-Day Pendown Strike

Srinagar: In anguish over the alleged inability to meet various demands, All Jammu and Kashmir Patwar Association called on Tuesday for a three-day pen-down strike.

According to , Abdul Majid, the president of the Association, decried the pendency of various demands before the authorities, which according to him were put forth before the latter from time to time.

Majid stated that he met with the J&K administration to present our legitimate demands in March. The administration assured Majid that they would take care of all of the demands on a priority basis. He stated that the administration had promised to initiate action within one month on at least four of the issues. However, it has been six months since then and there is still no concrete progress.

We announce a three-day strike starting Wednesday as a protest. He added that he had called on other associations of the Revenue Department, including J&K KAS Officers Association and All J&K Revenue Officers Association to support us and make this strike a success.
