Eligibility Criteria :

Educational Qualification & Experience (Mandatory):

Ex-Servicemen Indian Domicile (Pension holder only) OR Ex-women employees (including premature retiree) of MoEF&CC and State Forest Department with minimum 20 years of service in MoEF&CC/State Forest Department.

Medical Category: SHAPE-1

Character: EXEMPLARY / VERY GOOD

Height:

Male: 160 cm (152 cm for Gorkhas, Garhwalis & Assamese)

Female: 150 cm

Weight: Minimum 50 Kgs (male) & 42 Kgs (female)

Chest (Male): 82 cm (minimum expansion 05 cm)

Chest (Female): Minimum expansion of 5 cm

Note: Relaxation of 5 cm in height and weight commensurate with reduced height for women of North East and hill areas (Gorkhas, Assamese & Garhwalis) will be given.

 

 Selection Process :

The selection for 137 CETF Bn (TA) 39 Gorkha Rifles Recruitment Rally 2026 will be based on:

Physical Tests: 1 Mile Run, Pull Up, 8’9” Ditch and Zig Zag Balance Beam (for male candidates)

Proficiency Test: Trade test for tradesmen & test related to afforestation and nursery management for Ex-women candidates

Medical Examination: SHAPE-1 standard

Interview: By Board of Officers

Candidates who qualify in physical tests will be called for Proficiency Test, Medical Examination and Interview.

Pension Payment Order (PPO) (Original)

08 x recent passport size coloured photographs

Character Certificate from Village Sarpanch / Police authority

Education Certificate

There is no online application form or application fee for this recruitment rally. Eligible candidates are required to attend the recruitment rally in person as per the schedule mentioned above. The rally is a free service. Candidates must report at the venue at 07:00 AM with all required original documents for screening, physical tests, proficiency test, medical examination and interview.

How to Attend Recruitment Rally for 137 CETF Bn (TA) 39 Gorkha Rifles 2026

Eligible candidates must attend the Recruitment Rally as per the phase-wise schedule. The step-by-step process is as follows:

Step 1 – Check Eligibility: Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria including service in MoEF&CC/State Forest Department, age, physical standards and character.

Step 2 – Gather Documents: Collect all mandatory original documents mentioned above.

Step 3 – Report at Venue: Reach the respective rally venue (Bengdubi / Varanasi / Dehradun) at 07:00 AM on the scheduled dates.

Step 4 – Screening & Tests: Undergo document checking, physical tests, proficiency test, medical examination and interview.

Note: No mobiles will be allowed inside the rally site. No messing or accommodation will be provided. The authorities will not be responsible for any accident/injuries during the rally.

 

Important Instructions :

Recruitment is a free service. Do not pay any bribe to anyone. Beware of touts. Any candidate found to have paid bribe will have his/her selection cancelled.

Overwriting/tampering on certificates/documents is not acceptable.

Producing fake documents and giving false information will make the individual liable for punishment as per law and lead to termination of service irrespective of number of years of service rendered.

No mobiles will be brought to the rally site.

The authorities conducting the rally will not be responsible for any accident/injuries sustained to the candidates during recruitment rally.

No messing and accommodation will be provided during recruitment rally.

Territorial Army is a purely voluntary organisation and essentially a part-time job. No permanent employment is provided or promised.

Enrolled personnel will be discharged if found unsuitable by the unit board of officers.
