Grade C & D Vacancy 2026

Eligibility Criteria 2026 :
Nationality: Indian citizen / Subject of Nepal/Bhutan / Tibetan refugee (before 01.01.1962) / Person of Indian origin from specified countries (eligibility certificate required).
Educational Qualification : 12th Standard or equivalent from recognized Board/University. Stenography skill mandatory (tested in Skill Test).

 Selection Process :
Computer Based Test (CBT): 200 marks (objective; General Intelligence & Reasoning 50, GA 50, English 100);Â qualifying: 30% UR, 25% OBC/EWS, 20% others.
Skill Test in Stenography (Qualifying): Grade C: 100 wpm (English/Hindi); Grade D: 80 wpm (English/Hindi) (10 min dictation; 40% UR/EWS, 35% others pass marks).
Document Verification (DV)Â by User Departments.
Final Merit: Based on CBT marks (category-wise); All India Service Liability.
Pre-Employment Medical Exam (esp. for BRO posts with Physical Efficiency Test).

Apply online only via ssc.gov.in → One Time Registration (OTR) → Stenographer 2026 section.
Capture live photo (webcam), upload signature (10-20 KB JPEG).
Fill details, pay fee (if applicable), submit.
Correction window: 20-21 May 2026 (charges apply).
Print application for records; active email/mobile required.
