Applications on prescribed form which can be downloaded from SKIMS website www.skims.ac.in are invited from faculty members of SKIMS Soura, Srinagar, and SKIMS Medical College/Hospital Bemina for the post of Principal at SKIMS Medical College/Hospital Bemina, Srinagar possessing following qualification and experience:

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE :

1. Postgraduate Medical Qualification and other academic qualifications from a recognized
2. Minimum of (10) ten years Teaching Experience as Professor/Associate Professor (Additional Professor of SKIMS faculty)/Reader in a Medical College/Institute out of which at least five years should be as Professor in a department
3. Preference to be given to the Heads of the Departments.

THE OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR THE POST SHALL BE AS UNDER :

1. The post shall be a full time Principal.
2. The post shall carry the pay scale of Rs.37400-67000 + Grade pay 10000.
3. The upper age limit shall be 62 years in respect of faculty of SKIMS Soura &faculty of SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina as on 1st January 2017.
4. The appointment shall be on tenure basis fora period of 02 years.

PROCEDURE FOR SELECTION:

1. a) The Selection Committee to be constituted by the Government for appointment of Principal SKIMS Medical College/Hospital Bemina Srinagar shall after careful scrutiny, examine the Bio-Data and the other record of the candidates that may be available and assess each case on the basis of the following criteria:-

1. Academic Qualification.
2. Teaching Experience.
3. Research Experience.
4. Administrative Experience.
5. After assessing the credentials of the candidates on the basis of aforesaid criteria, the Selection

Committee may call such candidates as it may deem necessary/fit to the extent of 1:5 for a personal interaction to make further assessment of the candidates.

The Selection Committee after completing the process of assessment, prepare a panel of three (03) candidates in order of merit which will be placed before the Chairperson Governing Body for making selection for the post of Principal, SKIMS Medical College/Hospital, Bemina.

LAST DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATIONS:

The last date for submission of the applications along with all supportive documents/credential shall be submitted in the Office of the Administrative Officer (Policy), SKIMS by hand or through Registered post upto 07 July 2017
