Vacancy Details :

A total of 56 posts have been announced across two roles – Field Operation Engineer (FOE) and Project Engineer-I – for project sites in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. The number of vacancies is provisional and may be increased or decreased at the management’s discretion. Reservation for Persons with Disability (PwBD) and concessions/relaxations for reserved categories will be as per Government of India guidelines.

Abbreviations: UR – Unreserved, OBC (NCL) – Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer), EWS – Economically Weaker Section, SC – Scheduled Caste, ST – Scheduled Tribe. PwBD reservation is horizontal within overall vacancies as per Government guidelines.

Age Limit :

The upper age limit indicated is for candidates belonging to General (UR) and EWS categories, as on 01-06-2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for reserved categories.

 

Application Fee :

Application fee must be paid through SBI Collect (online mode only) before submitting the application. Candidates applying for more than one post must make separate payments for each post. Fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances. Candidates must note the SBI Collect Reference Number generated after payment and enter it in the application form.

Selection Process :

Selection shall be through a Pre-Registered Walk-In Selection to be held in and around Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Venue, date and time will be published on BEL’s website careers section and communicated via registered e-mail to shortlisted candidates.

Stage 1 – Written Test (Objective Type)

 

Final selection results will be notified on BEL’s official website and offer of engagement sent to selected candidates’ registered e-mail ID. A candidate not selected will receive no separate communication.

Stage 2 – Document Verification & Medical Fitness

Selected candidates must produce all original documents for verification and submit proof of medical insurance at the time of joining. FOE candidates: Medical Insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and Life Cover Insurance of Rs. 10 lakhs per annum. Project Engineer candidates: Medical Insurance cover of Rs. 2 lakhs per annum and Life Cover Insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs per annum.

Who should NOT apply for BEL HLS&SCB Recruitment 2026?

Candidates seeking a permanent/regular government or PSU job; this is strictly a contractual engagement (3 to max 5 years for FOE, 3 to max 4 years for Project Engineer-I) with no guarantee of absorption into BEL.

Candidates without the mandatory post-qualification experience (5 years for FOE, 2 years for Project Engineer-I); teaching, academic, research, banking, non-profit, and internship experience are explicitly excluded.

Fresh graduates or candidates with less than 2 years of relevant post-qualification industrial experience.

Candidates whose degree discipline/specialization does not exactly match the branches listed in the advertisement; mismatched specializations will be summarily rejected.

Candidates above the upper age limit as on 01-06-2026 (40 years for FOE, 32 years for Project Engineer-I), even by a single day, except those entitled to category-based relaxation.

Candidates not willing to be posted at project sites in Delhi, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh or Madhya Pradesh or not willing to travel across India as per project requirements.

Candidates who have previously applied for the same post as a lateral application within BEL; lateral applications are not permitted and will be summarily rejected.

BEL employees (Trainee/Project Engineers/FOE/Sr.FOE) who have not given prior intimation to their HR department before the application deadline, or who cannot attach the signed Intimation Letter.

PSU/Government organization employees who cannot produce a No Objection Certificate at the time of application or interview.

Candidates whose CGPA/credits cannot be converted to percentage as per official university norms, or who cannot provide the conversion formula document from their university.

 

Common mistakes / What to check before applying BEL HLS&SCB Recruitment 2026?

Applying without first verifying that your degree discipline/specialization exactly matches one of the listed branches; mismatches lead to rejection at any stage of selection.

Entering wrong or inactive e-mail ID or mobile number in the application form; all communications including shortlisting, venue and offer of engagement are sent only to registered e-mail/mobile – BEL is not responsible for bounced or non-received e-mails.

Paying application fee through SBI Collect with a different mobile number or e-mail ID than the one entered in the online application form, which can cause payment-application mismatch.

Not noting the SBI Collect Reference Number after payment; this must be entered in the application form and is mandatory for processing.

Applying in the wrong post category (FOE vs Project Engineer-I) or not paying separate fees for each post when applying for both.

OBC candidates belonging to the Creamy Layer applying under OBC (NCL) reservation; only candidates with a valid Non-Creamy Layer OBC certificate issued on or after 01.06.2025 are eligible for OBC reservation benefits.

EWS candidates not ensuring their Income & Asset certificate is for the year 2025-26 as required.

Not printing and carrying the filled application form with 2 passport-size photographs and all required originals/attested copies to the Walk-In selection venue on the notified day.

Counting teaching, research, internship, banking sector, or non-profit experience toward the required post-qualification experience years; these are explicitly excluded and will lead to disqualification at document verification.

Registering after the closing date (08-06-2026); candidates who have not registered online will not be allowed to appear for the Walk-In selections under any circumstances.

How to Apply for BEL HLS&SCB Recruitment 2026

Candidates shall apply online only through the Microsoft Office Form link / QR code provided on the BEL official website. Registrations received in any other format will not be considered. Candidates must first pay the application fee via SBI Collect, note the reference number, and then complete the online form. Applications that are incomplete, not legible, contain false or suppressed information, or do not meet the eligibility criteria will be summarily rejected.

Steps to Fill the Online Application:

Go through the detailed advertisement and confirm all eligibility criteria are met before proceeding.

Pay the application fee through SBI Collect at the link provided; note the SBI Collect Reference Number.

Register online using the Microsoft Office Form link / QR code available on BEL’s official website for the respective post.

Fill in all mandatory fields including SBI Collect Reference Number and submit the form.

After clicking Submit, a copy of the filled application form will be sent to your registered e-mail ID.

Print the application form. Carry the printout along with 2 recent passport-size colour photographs and all required documents to the Walk-In selection venue on the intimated date.

SSLC/SSC/10th standard marks card as proof of date of birth

All educational certificates starting from Matriculation/Class X

ME/M.Tech/MCA/BE/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year course) degree certificate; CGPA/credits conversion formula from university (if applicable) – mandatory, failing which candidature will be cancelled

All semester mark sheets / final consolidated mark sheet

Caste/Community/Disability/Income certificate for SC/ST/OBC(NCL)/PwBD/EWS candidates in prescribed Government of India format (OBC NCL certificate issued on or after 01.06.2025; EWS Income & Asset certificate for 2025-26)

Post-qualification experience certificate(s) from all previous and current employers; joining/appointment letter, relieving letter and, where current experience certificate is unavailable, first and latest pay slips and employee ID proof

‘No Objection Certificate’ for candidates working in PSUs/Government organizations

‘Intimation Letter’ duly signed by concerned HR for candidates currently working in BEL

No changes to date/time/venue of the written test or interview will be entertained once a candidate is shortlisted/selected.

There will be no separate communication to candidates regarding non-selection at any stage.
