Advertisement for the post of Project Assistant (PA)
Applications are invited for the post of Project Assistant to work in the J&K Science Technology & Innovation Council sponsored research project in the Department of Chemistry and Chemical
Sciences, Central University of Jammu, Rahya-Suchani (Bagla), District-Samba 181143, J&K.
Name of the Temporary Post : Project Assistant (PA)- 01
Tenure of the Project : 02 Years
Tenure of the Assignment : 1 Year (one year initially, extendable to maximum 2 years,
based on the requirement)
Consolidated monthly compensation / Fellowship : Rs. 12,000/- (consolidated).

Essential Qualifications and experience : M.Sc. Chemistry / Organic Chemistry with minimum 55% marks or equivalent CGPA. Relaxation in % of marks are given as per GoI rules
Desirable Qualifications/ Experiences : GATE /UGC NET/JRFÂ
Terms :
The services of the selected candidate will be as per University guidelines.
The project fellowship is a full-time position.
The selected candidate shall not draw money from any other source during the tenure of the project.
Terms and Conditions :
This temporary engagement will be for a specific period and shall automatically stand
terminated with the termination/completion of the project or earlier at the discretion of the
Principal Investigator(s).
In case the candidate leaves the assignment mid-way, without approval of PI, he/she shall be
liable to pay expenses including salary drawn till date.
The engagement will not entitle any claim for regular employment in the University.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed through email and called for interview.
Shortlisted candidates shall bring the required Qualification Documents in original on day of
interview.
The candidates called for interview are not entitled to TA/DA.
The decision of the selection committee will be final. Decision shall be communicated
through email provided.
Tenure of the assignment for the Project Assistant post shall initially be for a period of 1 Year and may be extended as per the requirement. However, PI reserves the right to culminate it before the said period in case of unsatisfactory performance or as per requirement of the project.

The competent authority reserves the right to fill up or not to fill the vacancies notified in this
advertisement. Waiting list may also be operated if required.
In case of selection, the candidature shall submit joining within 3 working days failing which
the candidature shall be rejected.
