The Central University of Kashmir has invited eligible candidates for a walk-in interview for Guest Teacher for its postgraduate programme offered by the Department of Commerce. The engagement is for the academic session 2026–2027.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for the Guest Teacher position must fulfill the prescribed academic qualifications.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have:

A Master’s Degree in Commerce with 55% marks or equivalent.

Besides fulfilling the above qualification, candidates must have cleared NET/SET conducted by the UGC or must have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree in accordance with the UGC regulations.

Candidates who meet the applicable NET exemption provisions under the UGC (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of Ph.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 and 2016, including subsequent amendments, may also be considered as per the notification.

Preference for Retired Teachers

The university has also stated that retired teachers who have worked in the Higher Education Department, colleges, universities or Jammu and Kashmir UT in the relevant subject are eligible to apply.

Such eligible retired teachers will be given preference.

Remuneration

Selected Guest Teachers will receive remuneration of Rs. 1,000 per lecture, subject to a maximum of Rs. 25,000 per month.

In addition, TA of Rs. 300 per day will be admissible, subject to a maximum of Rs. 5,000 per month.
