The Central University of Kashmir (CUK) has invited applications for one post of Project Associate-I under an ANRF-sponsored research project. The recruitment is for the project titled “Assessment of reproductive and cytological variability in Prunus armeniaca L. (Apricot) from Kargil of UT of Ladakh.”
The engagement will be purely contractual and temporary for a period of three years, subject to availability of funds and satisfactory performance. The appointment will remain co-terminus with the project.

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the post must possess a Master’s degree in Agriculture Science or Botany from a recognized university or equivalent.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
Preference will be given to candidates having the following qualifications or experience:
Qualified CSIR-UGC NET, including Lectureship/Assistant Professorship, or GATE or equivalent examination.
Good and applied knowledge of Plant Reproduction and/or Cytology.

Salary / Stipend
Selected candidates will receive the following stipend:
NET/GATE qualified candidates: ₹37,000 per month + 10% HRA for the first two years.
Non-NET candidates: ₹30,000 per month + 10% HRA for the first two years.

Selection Process
The date of interview for shortlisted candidates will be notified separately. No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview or at the time of joining. Canvassing in any form will not be entertained.
The University also reserves the right to terminate the temporary engagement by giving one week’s notice. The selected candidate will have no claim for regular appointment in the University.
