Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up vacant Class-IV posts in the Courts of District Srinagar. The applications are to be submitted in the prescribed format attached to the advertisement as Annexure-A.
The vacancies advertised are for Process Server and Orderly/Chowkidar posts. There are 2 vacancies of Process Server and 15 vacancies of Orderly/Chowkidar, making a total of 17 vacancies.
The category-wise distribution of the vacancies is to be understood as specified in the original advertisement, including the applicable reservations for Open Merit and reserved categories.
Educational Qualification
For the post of Process Server, a candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized Board.
For the posts of Orderly/Chowkidar, a candidate must have passed the 10th/Matriculation examination from any recognized Board.
Candidates must possess the prescribed qualification on or before the relevant cut-off date.

The age of the candidate is to be calculated as on 01-01-2026.
The prescribed age limits mentioned in the notice are broadly as follows:
Open Merit candidates: 18 to 40 years.
Reserved-category candidates: relaxation is available as prescribed under the applicable Government rules.
The applicable age relaxation is to be claimed on the basis of a valid category/reservation certificate.
The candidate must satisfy the age requirement on the cut-off date. The age relaxation applicable to different reserved categories is governed by the relevant rules and Government instructions.
Important Note Regarding Earlier Applications
Candidates who had already applied for the same posts pursuant to Advertisement Notification No. 04 of 2024 dated 18-05-2024 are not required to apply again, as stated in the present notification.
Eligibility Requirements
The candidate must fulfil all the prescribed educational, age, domicile and other eligibility conditions.
For the Process Server post, the minimum qualification is 10+2.
For the Orderly/Chowkidar posts, the minimum qualification is 10th/Matriculation.
Candidates should ensure that their certificates and other documents are valid and available for verification whenever required by the recruiting authority.
Domicile Requirement
The advertisement is for the District Judiciary, Srinagar, and candidates are required to fulfil the prescribed domicile requirements of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
A valid domicile certificate is required to be produced/uploaded wherever specified in the application process.

As stated in the notice, applications are to be submitted online from 24-08-2026 to 06-09-2026 through the prescribed online process/website.

General Instructions

Declaration by the Candidate
