The Vice-Chancellor, being the academic as well as administrative head, is expected to be:

A visionary with proven leadership qualities, administrative capabilities as well as teaching and researchcredentials.

Having outstanding academic record throughout and a minimum of 10 years’ experience as a Professor in a University system or in an equivalent position in a reputed research and/or academic administrativeorganization.

Not more than 65years of age as on the closing date of receiptof applications of this advertisement.

Salary and Service Conditions

The post carries a pay of Rs. 2,10,000/- (Fixed) per month with other usual allowances.

The terms and conditions of the services will be those as set forth in the Act, Statutes and Regulations of the University.

The term of appointment shall be for a period of three years.

Hard copy of application form complete in all respects duly  supported by attested copies of all relevant documents, certificates and testimonials is mandatory to be submitted personally only post in the office of Registrar Cluster University Srinagar Gogji Bagh Campus, 190008 by or before the last date of submission of hardcopies of the application forms, failing which the online application form submitted by the candidates shall not be

considered. Applications received after the expiry of the last date shall not be entertained.

Procedure for appointment

Appointment will be made from a panel of names recommended by the Search Committee constituted under the provisions of the Srinagar and Jammu Cluster Universities Act
