Guest Faculty Engagement
Engagement of Guest Faculty
Government Polytechnic Jammu has invited applications from eligible candidates for engagement as Guest Faculty for the academic session Nov–Dec 2026 in the following disciplines:
1. Mathematics
Essential Qualification:
M.Sc. in Mathematics with 55% marks from a recognized institution/university.
2. Medical Lab Technology
Candidates must possess either of the following qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Medical Lab Technology (MLT) with 55% marks from a recognized institution/university; OR
Diploma in MLT with First Class from a recognized institution.
Preference :
Preference will be given to candidates belonging to Category-I. If no suitable candidate from Category-I is available, preference will be given to candidates from Category-II.

Candidates are required to submit the prescribed application form along with self-attested photocopies of the following documents:
Academic/Technical Qualification certificates and mark sheets.
Domicile Certificate.
Date of Birth (D.O.B.) Certificate.

How to Apply
The application must be submitted in the prescribed format, which is available on the official website of Government Polytechnic Jammu.
Candidates are required to submit the application in hardcopy only along with the necessary self-attested documents.

Last Date for Submission : 25 August 2026 up to 4:00 PM
Applications received after the prescribed date and time will not be entertained.
Terms and Conditions
The engagement will be made purely on a need basis for the academic session Nov–Dec 2026. The selected candidate will not have any claim for permanent absorption or continuation beyond the engagement period.
Before joining, selected candidates will have to submit an undertaking/affidavit from a 1st Class Magistrate, clearly stating that they will not claim continuation or regularization of their services after completion of the session.
They will also be required to follow all rules and regulations of the institution.
Selection will be made purely on merit basis.
The merit will be prepared as follows:
80 points for basic qualification on a pro-rata basis.
5 points for higher qualification.
5 points for GATE/NET/SET qualification.
5 points for teaching experience in Polytechnic Diploma Level or Higher Level, on a pro-rata basis, with 1 point for each academic year.
5 points for interaction with the concerned candidates.
The interaction session is scheduled to be held on 31 August 2026 at 11:00 AM.
Selected candidates will be paid ₹750 per lecture per subject, subject to a maximum ceiling of ₹20,000 per month.
