Vacancy Details :

A total of 92 vacancies have been announced for the post of Hospitality Monitor on contractual basis under IRCTC North Zone. Reservation is as per Government of India policy. The number of vacancies to be filled (including Reserve Panel) may increase or decrease depending on actual requirement of IRCTC at the time of engagement.

Candidates must fulfill all eligibility conditions as on the cut-off date 01-05-2026. Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.

Educational Qualification :

Option Qualification Details
Option 1 B.Sc. in Hospitality and Hotel Administration Full time, from a Central or State Institute of Hotel Management (CIHM/SIHM/PIHM) affiliated to National Council of Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHM & CT) / UGC / AICTE / Government of India.
Option 2 BBA/MBA (Culinary Arts) From Indian Culinary Institutes under Ministry of Tourism.
Option 3 B.Sc. Hotel Management and Catering Science From Government recognized Universities affiliated to UGC / AICTE / Government of India / State Government.
Option 4 MBA (Tourism and Hotel Management) From Government recognized Universities affiliated to UGC / AICTE / Government of India / State Government.
Experience Freshers eligible Freshers with relevant educational qualification are eligible to apply. Prior work experience is not mandatory.
Desirable Computer Knowledge Knowledge of computer (MS Office) and preparation of reports is desirable. Ability to solve problems and make rational decisions.

Age Limit :

The upper age limit is 27 years for Unreserved (UR) candidates as on 01-05-2026.

Age relaxation is applicable as per Government of India guidelines for reserved category candidates.

Remuneration & Allowances

The selected candidates will be paid a total CTC of Rs. 30,000/- per month (inclusive of statutory deductions) along with other applicable allowances as detailed below. No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the walk-in interview. Selected candidates have to furnish a security deposit of Rs. 25,000/- in the form of a Demand Draft payable to IRCTC Ltd, New Delhi

Selection Process :

The selection process for IRCTC Hospitality Monitor Recruitment 2026 is through Walk-in Interview. Candidates are required to fill in the application form (attached with the notification) and submit it at the venue of the interview along with original documents, one set of attested photocopies of required documents, and two recent passport size photographs. Based on credentials and performance in the personal interview, candidates will be shortlisted. The offer of engagement shall be issued to suitable candidates in order of merit and based on number of vacancies, subject to verification of antecedents.

Engagement is subject to the candidate being medically fit as prescribed by IRCTC. The contract may be terminated by giving one month’s notice by either side. If performance during the contract period is not found satisfactory, the contract may be terminated without any notice.

Scope of Work :

Selected Hospitality Monitors will be responsible for a range of supervisory and monitoring duties across mobile/static catering units operated by IRCTC. Key responsibilities include supervision and monitoring of food production, quality and services; ensuring compliance of company policies and standard hospitality procedures; ensuring proper manpower and materials for nominated catering units; resolving customer/passenger care related issues and effective complaint management; collecting feedback, analysis and course correction; ensuring statutory compliance and regulations; supervising and educating staff in efficient upkeep of equipment and devices; and coordinating with various departments, offices, and business partners.

 

How to Apply ?

Candidates are required to fill in the application form (Proforma attached with the official notification) duly complete in all respects and submit it at the venue of the walk-in interview. No online application process is involved – candidates must appear in person at any one of the listed venues on the specified dates.

The completed application form has to be submitted at the venue for verification along with original documents, one set of attested copies of requisite documents, and two recent passport size photographs.

Those working in Government/PSUs may apply through proper channel or submit NOC at the time of interview or should submit a proper relieving letter from their present employer in the event of selection in IRCTC.

No TA/DA will be paid to candidates for attending the walk-in interview. Candidate can appear for interview at any one convenient place only.

 

Documents Required at Walk-in Interview (Originals in chronological order, along with one set of self-attested photocopies):

10th class Marksheet & Certificate

12th class Marksheet & Certificate

Graduation year-wise all Marksheets & Certificate/Degree (Provisional Certificate/Degree from concerned University may also be considered). Candidates passed out from IHMs should carry all six semesters marksheets, consolidated marksheet issued from IGNOU & degree/certificate issued from IGNOU.

Post-Graduation or any other higher academic/education (year-wise all Marksheets & Certificate), if applicable

All Experience Certificates in chronological order (if any)

Caste certificate supporting SC/ST/OBC category (OBC certificate should be for non-creamy layer and not more than 1 year old)

EWS/PwBD certificate (if applicable)

Proof of Identity & Proof of Address

Two recent passport size photographs

Any other relevant documents

In absence of any of the above documents in original, the candidate will not be allowed to appear in the walk-in interview. Candidates should carry one set of self-attested photocopy of all above documents along with all originals.
