Eligibility Criteria
General Qualification Norms
All prescribed qualifications must be with First Class (60% marks in aggregate) for UR/OBC(NCL)/EWS candidates and 55% marks in aggregate for SC/ST candidates. This requirement does not apply to qualified CAs/CMAs/CSs.
Courses must be full-time/regular and recognized by the State/Central Government/UGC/AICTE, as applicable.
For non-technical posts, qualifications via Online/Distance Learning from recognized universities/institutions are also considered, subject to conditions.
If a course does not indicate percentage/first class, a conversion certificate from the university is required; in its absence, a minimum of 6 on a 10-point scale will be treated as 60%.
Experience Requirement for Government/PSU Candidates
Candidates from Central/State Govt./PSUs/Autonomous Organizations must possess a minimum of two years’ experience in the immediate lower scale of pay (or equivalent) as on 10/08/2026, out of the total post-qualification experience required for the post.

Eligibility for Private Sector Candidates
Candidates from the private sector must be drawing a minimum CTC during the last financial year, as a percentage of the offered CTC:

This minimum CTC criterion does not apply to EWS category candidates applying against an EWS-reserved post. Candidates on Fixed Term/Contractual basis in Govt./PSU drawing consolidated pay are treated at par with private sector candidates.

In addition to CTC, Performance Related Pay (annual) will be provided as per rules. The Senior Manager (Medical), E-4 post also carries Non-Practicing Allowance, currently 20% of Basic Pay. Besides Basic Pay, candidates are entitled to Dearness Allowance, HRA/Company accommodation, perks, annual increments, leave encashment, medical facilities, Group Term Life Insurance, loans and advances, PF, Gratuity, Pension Scheme, Post-Retirement Medical Scheme (PRMS), and uniforms, as per company rules. Candidates from State/Central Government/Semi-Government/Autonomous Bodies/PSUs are eligible for pay protection as per applicable rules.

Fee must be paid online via Debit/Credit Card, Net Banking, Wallets, or UPI. The application fee is non-refundable under any circumstances, and once paid cannot be adjusted against any other recruitment.
Selection Process
Shortlisting is based on information/declaration submitted in the online application, verified later against uploaded documents.
Candidates with experience in Mining, Metallurgical, Chemical, Power, or Manufacturing/Production sectors will have an advantage.
Assessment is through Personal Interview/Psychometric Test/Group Exercise, or a combination. Multiple levels of interview may be conducted if the number of shortlisted candidates is high.
The company reserves the right to conduct a written test or any other test if required.
Meeting the advertised eligibility criteria does not by itself entitle a candidate to be called for interview.
Selection depends on interview performance, organizational requirement, and vacancy availability.
Selected candidates must clear a Pre-Employment Medical Examination and Character & Antecedents Verification before joining. A reasonable wait-list will be maintained for one year.

Step-I (Registration): Fill in Personal Details and Contact Details, then click “Generate OTP.” Verify Mobile Number and Email ID using the OTPs received.
Accept the terms and conditions, re-verify entered details, and click Submit. An Application Sequence Number (User ID) and Password will be sent via e-mail and SMS.
Step-II (Filling the Application): Log in using the User ID and Password, then complete Personal Details, Additional Details, Communication Details, Qualification Details, and Declaration.
Upload the required documents, including a recent passport-size photograph (white background, 100–200 KB, .jpg/.jpeg, 200 dpi, 3.5 cm x 4.5 cm) and signature (80–150 KB, .jpg/.jpeg).
Preview the application to check for errors, then click Submit. Editing is not possible after submission.
Pay the applicable application fee (Rs. 944/- or Rs. 354/- as applicable) through the online payment gateway.
Print and retain the submitted Application Form and Payment Acknowledgement Slip for future reference.
Candidates should not wait until the last date to apply, as IREL will not be responsible for delays caused by last-minute rush.
Reservation & Relaxation Policy
Reservation and relaxation for OBC(NCL)/SC/ST/EWS/PwBD (40% and above disability)/Ex-servicemen candidates follow Government of India guidelines.
Reservation for PwBD is on a horizontal basis.
SC/ST/PwBD/ESM/Women/Internal candidates are exempted from the application fee but must pay the non-refundable processing fee of Rs. 354/-.
OBC(NCL) candidates must upload a valid certificate in the prescribed format and produce a certificate obtained on or after 01.04.2026 at the time of document verification.
EWS candidates must upload a valid Income & Asset Certificate and produce one valid for 2026-27 at document verification.
Category once selected in the online application form cannot be changed later.
Candidates belonging to OBC “Creamy Layer” are not entitled to OBC(NCL) concessions and must indicate their category as UR.
Important Instructions
Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply.
Persons who have taken Voluntary Retirement (VRS) from Govt./PSUs, including IREL, are not eligible to apply.
Government/PSU employees should apply through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of interview.
Intimation regarding test/interview will be sent only through e-mail.
Interviews may be conducted online (Video Conferencing) or face-to-face, depending on requirement.
Candidates called for face-to-face interview will be reimbursed to-and-fro III AC rail fare (E-1 to E-5 grades) or II AC rail fare (E-6 & E-7 grades) from the nearest railway station, by the shortest route.
Any legal dispute related to this recruitment falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of Courts/Forums/Tribunals at Mumbai.
