Islamic University of Science & Technology (IUST), Kashmir has invited online applications from eligible candidates for various administrative and technical posts. The appointments will be governed as per UGC Regulations, University Statutes and JK CSR rules (as amended from time to time).

Vacancy Details

1. Deputy Librarian

Pay Level: Academic Level 12
Entry Pay: ₹79,800
Vacancy: UR-01

Essential Qualification:

Master’s Degree in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.

8 years’ experience as Assistant University Librarian/College Librarian.

Evidence of innovative library services including ICT integration.

Ph.D. in Library Science / Information Science / Documentation Science / Archives & Manuscript Keeping / Computerization of Library.

2. Deputy Controller of Examinations

Pay Level: Level-12 (₹78,800–2,09,200)
Vacancy: UR-01

Essential Qualification :

Master’s Degree with at least 55% marks.

9 years’ experience as Assistant Professor (Academic Level 10 and above) with 2 years’ experience in educational administration.

OR

Comparable experience in research establishments or higher education institutions.

OR

5 years’ administrative experience as Assistant Registrar / Assistant Finance Officer or equivalent post.

OR

Government/PSU employees with relevant financial administration, management or accounting experience.

Desirable Qualifications :

Master’s Degree in Law / Management / HR Management / Public Administration / Engineering with 60% marks.

Knowledge of University Statutes, UGC Regulations, Service Laws and NEP 2020.

Experience with University ERP / Management Systems.

Good computer proficiency and communication skills.

3. Executive Engineer (Civil)

Pay Level: Level-11 (₹67,700–2,08,700)
Vacancy: UR-01

Essential Qualification :

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with minimum 55% marks.

12 years’ experience in designing systems and construction of buildings, roads, sanitary and water supply systems.

OR

Minimum 5 years’ administrative experience as Assistant Executive Engineer in Government/University/Research Institution/PSU.

Knowledge of contract law and CPWD/PWD accounting procedures.

 

4. Assistant Registrar

Pay Level :Level-10 (₹56,100–1,77,500)
Vacancy :UR-01

Essential Qualification :

Master’s Degree with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade.

3 years’ administrative experience in University/Government/Semi-Government organization.

OR

3 years’ teaching experience at University level.

Desirable :

Master’s Degree in Journalism & Mass Communication / Law / Management / HR Management.

Good oral and written communication skills.

5. Assistant Controller of Examinations

Pay Level: Level-10 (₹56,100–1,77,500)
Vacancy: UR-01

Eligibility Includes:

Master’s Degree with required marks.

Relevant administrative/academic experience.

Knowledge of University rules, regulations, ERP systems, NEP-2020 and computer applications.

6. Assistant Engineer (Electrical)

Pay Level: Level-09 (₹52,700–1,66,700)
Vacancy: UR-01

Essential Qualification :

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with minimum 55% marks.

5 years’ experience as Junior Engineer or equivalent.

Knowledge of Computer Applications.

Desirable :

Good communication skills.

Ability to provide leadership and guidance to staff.

In-service Candidates (Other than J&K State Universities): 40 Years

Substantive In-service Candidates of J&K State Universities: 50 Years

Payment through online mode only.

PwD category candidates are exempted from fee payment.

 

Selection Process :

University may conduct a written test for shortlisting candidates depending upon the number of applications received.

Shortlisting for interview:

20 candidates for one post

5 additional candidates for every additional post
