Eligible candidates are invited for Walk-in-Interview for engagement as Contractual Assistant Professor(s) on academic arrangement basis for teaching, research and allied academic activities in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering.

The interested applicants shall have to collect the prescribed application format from the concerned Department on 21-09-2026 (Monday) at 10:30 AM.

The department shall scrutinize their credentials, where after, interview of eligible candidates shall be held on the same day in the Office of Dean Academic Affairs at 02:00 PM.

Eligibility :

(i) Essential :
B. E. / B. Tech. / B. S. and M. E. / M. Tech. / M. S. or Integrated M. Tech./ M.E. in relevant branch with first class or equivalent in any one of the degrees.

(ii) Desirable :
PhD Degree awarded in relevant branch in accordance with the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award of M.Phil./Ph.D Degree)
Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be

OR
PhD in relevant branch acquired directly after B.E/ B.Tech, provided degree of Ph. D awarded is in relevant discipline by a recognized University following the process of
registration, course work and evaluation etc. as prescribed by UGC or has been awarded by the Institutes of national importance (i.e. IITs/IISc/ NITs etc.), duly
recognized by the MHRD. Further, candidate should have obtained at least first class at Bachelor’s level in Engineering /Technology.

PhD in relevant branch has been obtained from a foreign university/institution with a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at any time) by any one of
the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) (ii) the Times Higher Education (THE) or

(iii) the Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Leaves/Vacations :

As per norms of the university governing such engagements.

Selection Procedure :
The selection shall be on the basis of performance in the Interview.

Terms and Conditions :

(i) Candidates will have to produce original documents relating to their qualification, experience etc. at the time of appearing in the interview.

(ii) No TA/DA shall be paid to candidates for appearing in the interview.

(iii) The time taken by candidates to acquire PG / M.Phil and /or Ph.D degree shall not be considered as teaching /research experience. The period of active service spent
on pursuing Research Degree simultaneously with teaching assignment without taking any kind of leave (Part time), shall be counted as teaching experience subject to the submission of certificate to this effect issued by the concerned employer.

(iv) Qualifications / Experiences shall be counted as on the last date of submission of the application forms.

(v) Any publications in predatory / dubious journals or presentations in predatory / dubious conferences shall not be considered for academic credit for selection &
confirmation. With effect from 14-06-2019, research publications from journals indexed in UGC-CARE List only would be considered for all academic purposes.

(vi) An undertaking is to be given by the candidate stating that ‘the publications submitted by him / her are free from any plagiarism and if any plagiarism is found
later, his / her candidature/selection shall stand rejected’.

(vii)In case of any disputes /suites or legal proceedings against the University, the jurisdiction shall be confined to the court of Srinagar only.

(viii) The engagement of the recommended candidates shall be subject to the outcome of the writ petition(s) (if any) pending in the Hon’ble Courts of J&K.

(ix) Candidates who have been awarded postgraduate/Ph. D degree from Foreign University should enclose Equivalence Certificate” issued by the Association of
Indian Universities (AIU), New Delhi without which their candidature will not be considered, and application form will be rejected.
