The Office of the Chief Agriculture Officer, Samba, has issued a notification for engagement of Krishi Udyamis (Agricultural Entrepreneurs) for three vacant positions at identified Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) in Samba district.

Vacancy Details
Three positions have been re-advertised for the following approved Kisan Khidmat Ghars:

Educational Qualification
Candidates applying for the Krishi Udyami (Agricultural Entrepreneur) position should possess any of the following qualifications:
Diploma in Agriculture or Allied Fields.
Graduation in Science (B.Sc.).
Graduation in Agriculture or Allied Fields such as B.Sc./B.Sc. (Hons.).
Preference will be given to candidates having post-graduation in Science, Agriculture or Allied Fields and candidates possessing computer diploma/certification.
Diploma Courses Considered
The notification includes diplomas in fields such as:

Veterinary Science
Forestry

BHT

The diploma should be from a Government-recognized institution.
Allied Degree Courses

AH from a Government-recognized institution
Candidates possessing a Diploma/Certificate Course in Computers of three months or more duration from a Government-recognized institution are also considered as per the notification.
Age Limit
The candidate should be between 21 and 45 years of age as on the last date of submission of the application.
Job Profile
The selected Krishi Udyami will operate the Kisan Khidmat Ghar (KKG) under the holistic agriculture development programme in Jammu and Kashmir.
The role involves supporting the delivery of agricultural services at the Panchayat level and functioning as an entrepreneur/franchisee under the framework and support of the Agriculture Production Department.
Remuneration
The engagement will be based on a self-earning/entrepreneur basis. The notification does not prescribe a conventional fixed monthly salary.

Application Process
Eligible candidates are required to apply using the application form prescribed as Annexure-I of the notification.
The completed application form should be submitted personally or through a registered post to the office of the Deputy Commissioner, Samba, within the prescribed deadline.
The last date for receipt of completed applications is: October 10, 2026
Applications that are incomplete or received after the prescribed deadline are liable to be rejected.
Applicants are also required to affix their latest passport-size photograph with white background.
Declaration
The application form contains a declaration to be furnished on a non-judicial affidavit, wherein the applicant has to declare that the information provided in the application is true and correct.
Any concealment or misrepresentation of facts may result in cancellation of candidature/selection.
Other Terms and Conditions for Krishi Udyamis
Security Deposit
The selected Krishi Udyami will have to enter into an agreement with the APD and deposit a refundable security amount of ₹10,000 in the form of a Fixed Deposit Receipt from any scheduled commercial bank.
Nature of Engagement
The selected KU will work on a franchise/franchisee basis. The Kisan Khidmat Ghars at the Panchayat level will be operated by KUs under the support and framework provided by the Agriculture Production Department.
No Regular Appointment
The engagement does not confer any right to regular appointment. Krishi Udyamis will not be treated as regular employees of the department.
Ownership and Maintenance
Assets provided by the departments for Kisan Khidmat Ghars will remain the property of the department. The selected KU will function as the custodian of the infrastructure and facilities and will be responsible for their maintenance.
Management and Supervision
The Kisan Khidmat Ghars will be managed by the KU under the supervision of the designated APD officer of the concerned locality and in accordance with departmental goals and guidelines.
Training
Selected KUs will be provided the required training to enhance their skills. They may also be entitled to a payment of ₹500 per day for participating in such training sessions and programmes.
Input Licence Provision
The Directorate of Agriculture will facilitate/provide entrepreneurs with the required input licences, subject to compliance with applicable regulatory standards.
Technological Support
The Agriculture Production Department and Krishi Vigyan Kendras (KVKs) will provide technological support to KUs. The notification also provides for integration of the SKUAST cyber extension hub with the KKG software ecosystem for continuous and sustainable technological support.
Facilitation of Linkages
The Agriculture Production Department/Mission Director HADP will facilitate linkages between KKGs and input companies and financial institutions through Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), wherever applicable.
Extension of Functions
Panchayat-level Agriculture and Allied Departments may extend their functions through KKGs to increase the reach and impact of agricultural services.
Service Charges
KUs will charge nominal service charges and comply with the prescribed requirements for extending services. A rate card for service charges will be issued by the Mission Director HADP.
Succession Plan
If a KU leaves the assignment or is disengaged, the functioning of the KKG will remain under the control of the designated APD officer until the process for engaging a new KU is completed.
Termination of Agreement
The agreement may be terminated by either party by providing three months’ prior notice. The KU is required to provide an undertaking to stay in the agreement for a minimum period of two years.
If the KU exits before completing two years, the ₹10,000 security amount may be forfeited, in addition to the three-month notice requirement.
