Advertisement for engagement of faculty (Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor) on academic arrangement basis under S.O-364 of 2020 dated 27th of November, 2020, in Govt. Medical College, Rajouri,

Applications are invited from eligible candidates i.e Doctors (Non PSC/ retired) who are resident of India (Domicile/non domicile)) for engagement on “Academic Arrangement basis” in terms of S.O-364 of 2020 dated 27th of November, 2020, i.e. Jammu and Kashmir Medical and Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis), Rules, 2020 [these rules have replaced the Jammu and Kashmir Medical & Dental Education (Appointment on Academic Arrangement Basis) Rules, 2019 dated 10.01.2019], initially for a period of three years extendable upto six years (One year at a time and subject to good performance and conduct)in case of Professors and Associate Professors and initially for a period of one year and extendable upto a maximum of six years (One year at a time and subject to good performance and conduct) or till the selection /promotion is made on regular basis in accordance with rules of recruitment governing the respective posts by the PSC/DPC whichever is earlier, in the below mentioned disciplines of Govt. Medical College, Rajouri:-

Eligibility & Selection Criteria

The Selection of the candidates shall be made as per criteria prescribed under SO 364 of 2020 dated 27.11.2020 and Govt. Order No. 282-JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023.

Document to be attached:-

The candidates are advised to enclose the self-attested copies of the following documents-

1) Date of Birth Proof (10th Marks card/10th Diploma/ Municipal Council).

2) MBBS Degree and MCI /State Medical Council Registration Certificate.

3) Post-graduation Degree in relevant subject and MCI/State Medical Council Registration certificate.

4) MBBS/MD/MS Attempt Certificate and MBBS Internship Completion Certificate.

5) MBBS Marks Card All Profs. 1st to Final.

6) Teaching Experience as per the Govt. Order No. 282-JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023.

7) Research Publication, Participation with Oral Presentation, Participation with Poster Presentation of Papers, Credit for writing a Book or Chapter as per G.O. Order No: 282-JK (HME) of 2023 dated 04.04.2023.

8) Gold Medal for overall first position in MBBS.

9) Higher Qualification Certificate (DM/MCH/DNB Super Speciality).

10) Affidavit duly attested from 1st Class Magistrate stating that the applicant is not in active Govt.

Services (In Original).

11) Category Certificate, If any.

12) Domicile Certificate of UT of J&K (If Available)

13) Any other document, if required by selection committee during the process of recruitment.

Last date of submission of application form:-

The application forms along with requisite documents (self attested) should reach in the office of the undersigned by registered post or by hand on or before 17 -07-2024. (4:00 PM).

Applications sent by any other mode or after the last date shall not be entertained.

Other terms and conditions:-

1. The appointment against the advertised posts shall and shall always be on academic arrangement basis only without conferment of any preferential right on the engages for regular appointment against these posts, which shall be made strictly in accordance with the relevant recruitment rules.

2. The appointees on academic arrangement basis shall be paid a monthly consolidated salary as per the scales defined in the S.O-364 of 2020 dated 27th of November, 2020. The Professors and Associate Professor appointed in Govt. Medical College, Rajouri will be entitled to additional monthly incentives of Rs. 50,000/- and Rs. 45,000/- respectively.

3. Staff engaged on teaching post shall be put on teaching and research duties and shall not be assigned any administrative duties at any level, like the position of Principal, Head of the Department and Head of the Unit. The selection of the candidates for such posts shall be made by the respective committee constituted by the Government.

4. The appointment on academic arrangement basis shall by itself stand terminated on attainment of 70 years of age by the appointee. The services of an appointee under these rules shall be terminable before the expiry of the tenure of appointment with one month’s notice from either side or on payment of one month’s salary in lieu of notice by the appointing authority. In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.

5. In case of any dispute, the decision of Chairperson of the Selection Committee shall be final.

Note :- The vacancies are advertised as per the posts which are vacant or likely to fall vacant. However, the Department may withdraw/ alter number of vacancies or decides not to fill the vacancies at any point of time till the completion of selection process without any further notification.

This is without prejudice to any writ petition lying pending before any Hon’ble Court of law.
