The selected candidates will be responsible for strengthening Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) in different districts of Jammu region.
The engagement will be purely contractual, initially for one year, extendable annually based on performance and programme requirements

Educational Qualification & Experience :
Minimum Qualification :
Master’s Degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Rural Development, or related discipline
Professional Experience :
Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in FPO promotion, rural development, or agribusiness
Regional Expertise :
Preference will be given to candidates having work experience in districts of Jammu region
Required Competencies :
Knowledge of value chain development, financial inclusion systems, and relevant policy frameworks
Scope of Work
The selected FPO Development Officer will be responsible for:
Facilitating formation, strengthening, and sustainability of FPOs in the assigned district
Providing technical support in governance, business planning, and financial management
Supporting market linkage development and value chain integration
Enhancing access to institutional credit and investment opportunities
Conducting capacity-building and training programs for FPO leaders and members
Coordinating with JKCIP, SKUAST-Jammu, government departments, and private stakeholders
Ensuring compliance with national FPO guidelines
Key Deliverables :
Quarterly progress reports on FPO activities and outcomes
Training modules for capacity building
Market linkage and financial access reports
Increase in FPO membership fee and shareholding
Increase in business turnover
Annual impact assessment on FPO sustainability
Selection Criteria
Selection will be carried out as per IFAD-ICS norms with evaluation based on:
Educational Qualifications – 50 marks
Relevant Work Experience – 10 marks
Regional Expertise – 10 marks
Interview & Presentation – 30 marks
Total Marks – 100
